Termina IS an alternate dimention, or something to that effect

MM occurs in the CT. So we can assume that the events in termina still occurred on the AT, only with a different outcome (which is that Termina is destroyed by the moon).

For this discussion, we can hyperthetically say the Hyrule was a place on Earth.

Therefore, the events in Termina onthe AT show that Termina is not on the same planet as Hyrule, and seeing as there's no proof whatsoever of Space Travel, we are left with one alternative, different dimention.

You may be thinking, this guy's crazy, but here's my proof, not using characters, but the moon itself.

As far as we know, there is only one moon in the Hyrule world (we only see one in the sky, and only at night time, which points to one conclusion, there is only one moon).

In the AT timeline, we can still see the moon in the sky, which shows us that the Moon (in Hyrule's dimention anyway) is still orbiting. So, we can see that the moon crashing into Termina isn't the same one in Hyrule's night sky.

Furthermore, if Termina and Hyrule were on the same planet, the impact of the moon in Termina would have affected Hyrule in much the same way as Termina (even if it is to a lesser extent, but you catch my general flow).

And my last piece of evidence, even though it's just nit-picking. Technically, the big clumps of rocks that orbit the planets are not called 'moons', but 'satellites'. 'Moon' is just the name of our satellite, as Saturn has 'Titan', amoung others. My point being there is technically only one moon persay. And we know that the rock in Termina is known as the moon. So what is the one in Hyrule, Not the moon?

So there you go. We are forced to believe that Hyrule and Termina are either different dimentions, or different planets. I'm sure you'd agree that the first is more logical.

Thoughts?

By the way, no, I've never met Pizzaro but I love his pies. And all of this pales to utter insignificance in light of the fact that my ship is once again gone. Savvy?

Re: Termina IS an alternate dimention, or something to that effect

The Moon from Majora's Mask was implied to be a fake at some points. For starters, the red eyes and snarling mouth were obviously not regular features upon the Moon's surface. This was confirmed by comments from the Jugglers' in east Clock Town. Furthermore we don't actually know at all if Termina was destroyed in the Adult Timeline. The events of Majora's Mask required a chance enounter between the Happy Mask Salesman and Skull Kid. If anything had changed this, Termina's destrution wouldn't have occured. Events within Castle Town are quite different on both sides of the split (Ganondorf's attack on Hyrule Castle, for example), so it is understandable that during the Adult Timeline the events of Termina may have never come to pass.

As for Termina's status as an alternate dimension, it cannot be something of that sort in it's own right, because it is proven to have neibouring countries beyond it's boarders. The Garo came from a distant Kingdom of some sort accoring to Majora's Mask canon, so we can assume that Termina is merely a country within a larger world. Not a dimension in itself.

I don't doubt, however, that it is probably not upon the same plane as Hyrule. The 'magical method' of entrance into Termina is suspect, but it's prudent to turn away from descriptions of 'alternate dimensions' and the like. The best we can do is see Termina for what it is. A country similar in some respects, but conversely different, to Hyrule. Races and character appearances are shared, but Geography, history, tradition and customs are totally different.
