Is there anything you did NOT like in OoT?
It is sometimes hard to think about what you didn't like in OoT, seeing as it's considered by the majority of Zelda fans to be the best game in the series, and some even say it is the greatest video game of all time.
But was there anything you didn't like about OoT, even though it is such a masterpeice? Yes, there were things I didn't like about this game, even though the things I didn't like are VERY minor. 1. You only go into the Ice Cavern just to learn a song and get a pair of boots. 2. You couldn't actually obtain the Triforce as an item. And it kind of looked like you could considering that in the middle of all the medallions there was a slot for the Triforce. 3. Could not swing your sword on horseback. 4. Could not reflect Ganondorf's attacks (the ones that were yellow [maybe electric], spheres he'd launch at you) with the Mirror Shield back to him, even though you could reflect other attacks like the ones in the Twinrova boss battle. Those are my complaints, but they didn't really bother me. What did you NOT like in OoT? |

Re: Is there anything you did NOT like in OoT?
At the beginning...
You leave Kokiri Forest and travel all the way across Hyrule field to see Zelda. *After first playthrough, this really doesn't apply* You go to the goron village, talk to people, etc. you finally realise you need a 'forest-e' song... So then you go all the way back to Kokiri Forest, to the sacred meadow to learn Saria's Song And then you go all the way back to Goron Village...

Ladies! Will you please shut it? Listen to me. Yes, I lied to you. No, I don't love you. Of course it makes you look fat. I've never been to Brussels. It is pronounced "egregious". By the way, no, I've never met Pizzaro but I love his pies. And all of this pales to utter insignificance in light of the fact that my ship is once again gone. Savvy? |

I didn't like having to run every inch of Hyrule Field trying to find the Running Man. |

If there's just one thing I would have changed about Ocarina of Time, it is Hyrule Field that you explore as Adult Link. I just felt it should have undergone more of a change in the seven years that Ganondorf has ruled as the Evil King. For instance, perhaps the grass should have died away, leaving behind a grey, ashy wasteland, with bits of skeletons lying around?

I hated Navi. Really, I did. I wanted to punch someone when she wouldn't shut up.
The Water Temple was a pain in the ass. How is a 3 year old supposed to figure that out? Beats me... Other than that, I can't really think of anything else. |

While the rating may have said "everyone", it really was not made with preschoolers in mind.

Well, I couldn't expect anything better coming from you: you have an avatar and a sign of TP...

My only actual problem was a bit of the text box. Text scrolled way too slowly, and the few ones you could actually make go faster, actually skpped the entire dialogue. Also, pressing B when being asked "yes" or "no" should always be "no", not just the current highlighted option. Other than that, I didn't disliked anything, however, some stuff could have been better, like Hyrule Fields, other than bombimg peahats or chasing big poes, there was nothing to do... |

Re: Is there anything you did NOT like in OoT?
Seems like everyone complains about the water temple being to hard, and then complain about the new games being to easy.
I LOVED the water temple. Dark Link, Longshot, very puzzley , Longshot... anyways. I definitely would have liked a more detailed environment (when replaying now.. but on it's time I found it pretty sweet), and slashing on top of epona was always I really would have liked. can't really think of anything more. Maybe it's time for me to play again ![]() |

Kaepora Gaebora
Navi's excessive reminders The fact that no matter how fast you run from Kokiri Forest to Castle first time, you can NEVER make it before night falls. The bunny guy |
