Disk Drive Discussion

The purpose of this thread is to find out peoples opinions on the N64DD and whether they thought it was good, bad and why. Also, I would like to see some discussion on the extra features that it could have incorporated for gamers... and Zelda fans . Also stuff on the extra Zelda features that were seen in "that N64 Zelda development thread that I can't be bothered linking to."
Anyway, please discuss.

Personally I thought that it could have been great. There were many ambitious features like the ability to remember everything you did, and I would love to see a 7 day Majora's Mask. Nintendo had some genuinely genius ways of putting this accessory to use, if only everyone else was as optimistic as they were.

I really wanted a 7 day majora's mask, but I don't really get this thread.

well the disc drive was promising but since it never came to America it was a bummer. best thing about the disc drive was the f-zero x expansion which added more cups i think,and a awesome level editor.

A rumor says that originally OoT was supose to have a dungeon editor.

In my twisted mind, it sounds like the best Zelda idea ever, but sadly, it never went true...

Imagine that, a dungeon editor. The zelda fanbase could create the best Zelda dungeon ever (or the worst). And I continue to dream of a 7-day MM, imagine the time management planning, the fact that the notebook would be so complex and that there would be so much NPC tracking.
Awesomeness has been witnessed.
