Majora's Mask ending is win.

I've devoted the past three weeks of my life to getting 100% in OOT and MM. I finished OOT about a week ago and just finished MM now.

MM's ending is far superior. Much happier.

Yes...MM is one of my favorite games with one of my favorite endings. I love the HMS's dialogue at the end, the Skull kid's interaction with the Giants...Link riding away...and the close up of one of Skull kid's latest drawings on a stump. Plus you see all of the people you made happy throughout the course of the game. There's something epic about that...

Seeing Anju FINALLY get married after all that trouble is just so...awesome. :') Even though you don't get to see Kafei all grown-up...oh well.

And all of MM is made of win, so that's just pointing out the obvious.

My favorite Zelda game. I can't believe how people like OOT more.

I loved OoT's ending because it was kind of amusing to see everyone celebrate. But that was before I finally got the last few masks I was missing in MM. Watching every scene is just so rewarding! You see how you've helped everybody and made them all happy. No part of OoT is rewarding because hardly anyone really even knows who saved them, just that finally they've been saved (correct me if I'm wrong though).

You are correct.

MM's ending is much more satisfying. With OOT, even when I've finished the game, it feels incomplete.

Majora's Mask's ending is one of the best in the series. It really leaves me wanting to play another game, to find out what Link was going to do now that he had saved termina. Hopefully someday Nintendo will make a game that follows Link after MM.

Yes, but if they did they better give us our precious Deku Scrub, Goron and Zora masks! Also they better make an unintentional Fierce Diety glitch lol. If they don't have any of those, a sequel to MM would be no proper sequel... MM just had the best plotline for a Zelda game, a dark mood and generally was just, well... Ganster in a Bottle!

MM had the potential to have multiple endings based on who you helped, but oh well. I did enjoy it.

the Ending of MM was amazing, it really is worth of your efforts during the game.

I was really disappointed with the Majora's Mask ending.

...it meant that my journey in Termina was over. I had completed all the sidequests at that point T.T I was having sooooo much fun with that game...I really didn't want it to end.

I think the best part of the ending is going on the moon. When I first saw the moon, a tingkle feeling went down my spine.

Happier? I wouldn't say so, but it certainly feels more complete. With OoT, the ending feels a bit ... cut off? In Majora's Mask, everything you wondered about is delt with and doesn't leave you with an empty feeling.

I don't really consider MM's ending to be better. OoT's story built itself up nice and balanced, to the climax where you defeat Ganon and save Hyrule. The ending was a little bittersweet upon leaving the adult world (and Zelda) behind, but alas, all the more powerful. Majora's Mask felt rewarding, but far less built up as OoT's was.

But hey, at least you save the day in both

Well, Majoras Mask ending was very good, but I really don't like that we don't find out if Link found Navi again... this plot is still unresolved up to today

^ Completely agree with this.

I actually did'nt find MM's ending to be that great. OoT definetly had a better build up.

One thing I notice is that Oot left lots of holes. For example, what happened to the zoras? The river never unfreezes. Also, what about the sages? Many of them mysteriously disappear.
In MM, all the holes are filled except maybe Navi and you feel complete.I dont know, the ending just seems happier for some reason.

God, I want to quote Larry the Cable Guy so much now... too bad I can't say it on the boards.

Yeah, the moon was awesome, and the ending was great, gave a lot of closure to the game, but I'm with Shaelyn. I didn't want it to end.
