I guess OoT got E because of it's not very realistic graphics. That can be the only explanation. |

Re: Blood?
Go back and play TP and battle one of the random monsters. If you do, they appear to be having the spit knocked out of them. Well, that isn't spit.
Also, if you look closely at Rusl's cast, you can see blood on it. I think you can get a good look at it if you go back to Ordon right after the scene as a wolf where you get the sword and shield. I'm guessing that it was questioned the possible thoughts that could come to mind from seeing a bloody cast, and knowing what caused it. I'm more inclined to believe it was other factors that led to the T rating that were just not included on the content warnings, however. I'd figure it'd be the scene in Kakariko the first time where you sympathise with the terror the kids must have gone through.

Re: Blood?
Yeah i noticed that the map looks like a falling person, i was very young like 8 or 9 when i noticed that similarity...
The bottom of the well is scarier than Resident evil...the well is even scarier than the shadow temple itself...

Re: Blood?
I think they got away with that blood because it wasn't animated. If I remember correctly when I first played OoT, Ganondorf vomited red blood. When I bought the game a few months later, it was changed to green blood.
That might have something to do with it.

Re: Blood?
Yeah.
The blood could easily be mistaken for rust or something else. Plus, though it was a bit disturbing, it wasn't full-out horror like we saw dead bodies everywhere, including crucified corpses. I always thought the crucifixes were like whipping posts. :/

Re: Blood?
I noticed the blood on Rusl's cast. Not nearly as disturbing as the bottom of the well
![]() Either I was very naive, or it wasn't that obvious. Because I've never noticed how the map looks like a falling person. Again, pure coincidence. It can look like a freaky hand with four fingers, or something like that, too. About the well in the Forest Temple. I've always thought that wall smeared with a red thing was strange. I thought it was blood, but it's more probable it was just rust. And yes, Ganondorf vomited red blood in the "original" version - the one I have. The version in which he vomits a green thing looks more like snot than any other thing. |

The non-animated blood from the Bottom of the well, was the reason, the blood wasn't animated so nintendo got away with the rating.

Re: Blood?
I think it's because they had lower standards at those times. Like I've said everywhere else, although it's creepy(and I kind of love it) you people who were afraid where just wimps. I was four when I played it and I thought it looked creepy, but I thought it was just showing how "tuff" (I was a little greaser, er, sorta) the game was, and that it added to the authenticity. It made it seem more like the middle ages, and not some wimpy little game that they make so that the ESRB and other big wigs prohibit kids from playing. That's what brings my piss to a boil, how much ESRB and others want to restrict kids from playing games. Everyone's against video games. I hate it. GTA is one thing, but Smash Bros. does not deserve a T rating, and neither does TP. And OoT sort of, but only if you thoroughly play it, which is nothing ESRB does anyway.

Re: Blood?
Remember, TP was also rated for FANTASY VIOLENCE, and most of you played OoT when you were under 11, now imagine playing TP when you were that age and you fought the boss in the Forest Temple. That was kinda graphic for a younger person. I had my 8 year old sister watched me play it, and she says that Stallord, Diababa, Baba Serpents, and the dead soliders spirit (Hyrule Castle, near the end of the game) all scared her. My mom wouldn't let her watch the final boss battle because she thought it was worse than the rest of the game. Remember, you're all older, so what scared you when you were young, probably won't scare you now. Actually, I thought the Well was kinda cool when I was a kid, but I'm told that's why I'm "messed up" (I think they can get over it, I saw Holocaust pictures when I was 7, and that was scary, hell it's scary now)

My little 6 year old sister, said she doesn't want to play TP, cause the dinasaour(Stallord) is scary.
