Re: OoT vs. MM: Which is better?
OoT is my favorite Zelda game. The traveling through time method, the fun dungeon layouts, epic boss battles, all the different places you could visit, an incredibly epic soundtrack. I really couldn't complain about anything in OoT. MM is real good too, though, but one thing that really bothered me was all the lag. OoT was also my first Zelda game and the game that got me into the franchise.

Re: OoT vs. MM: Which is better?
You all fail. Link's Awakening pwns all.
But back to the selection, I'd say Ocarina of Time. It's just epic in its own way. I've played the whole thing about 20 times and I still start a new file at least 4 times a year. It's just THAT awesome.

Re: OoT vs. MM: Which is better?
I think that objectively, OoT is better.
Much longer, with almost 10 dungeons against 4. Link growing up was actually a great idee and perfectly used. More profund, harder... anyway. Better. But I still prefer Majora's Mask, whith this incomparable ambiance, with that moon always looking at you. Creepy. >.> And the transformation with the masks were also good. But the idea of the 3 days was a good idea but badly used. Losing everything, having to remake some sidequest again and again... Sucks. So since the question was "What's the better?" and not "Which one do you prefer?", I voted OoT. |

But anyway, my answer to the poll is Ocarina of Time. The games have so very different atmospheres to the temples, music, and characters that it's hard to compare them, but I prefer the atmosphere that OoT has. MM, while being a very good game, has too many things that I didn't like about it. One being the keep-going-back-in-time method. That concept is ridiculous, obnoxious, and pathetic. It doesn't even save the Magic Beans that I had planted when I go back! And I hate having to talk to characters over and over again that say the same things. It just doesn't make it any fun.

Re: OoT vs. MM: Which is better?
I've only gotten a little way into MM but for sure I'll still say OoT (I'm positive I won't change my mind even after finishing MM) because it doesn't have the retarded saving methods and also I have a special attachment to it from my childhood. But OoT is also more interesting, there is a much longer time frame, and I think MM is just generally more boring.

Re: OoT vs. MM: Which is better?
oot is one of my most cherished games. IT's one of the first games I played, and it's what got me into zelda. MM is also one of my favorite games. I remember playing it just after it came out. Both are amazing games, and nintendo will never make a zelda game as good as those two . Comparing the two, however, I would pick oot. It is THE legend of zelda of zelda games.

Re: OoT vs. MM: Which is better?
In terms of Nostalgia, definitely OoT. It had such a big impact on my childhood, and I just loved the game so much, that nowadays I feel like crying whenever I hear any of its music, or get reminded of it in any way. And as a kid I also hated Majora's Mask. I hated everything in it, from the 3 day system, to the dark plot/atmosphere, to the difficulty.
But now I'm more mature, and while OoT is still more nostalgic, MM just strikes me as an amazing game. It isn't like OoT where you just go dungeon after dungeon (though the dungeons were freaking awesome). You get to interact with each character, relate to them, help them out, and witness how they develop. It's just a living, breathing world where you feel like you're actually Link rather than just playing as Link in a video game, and you could really feel the destruction and all the emotion in the game. And with the sidequests and all, the game just feels more complete. Never have I gotten too lazy to look for that next empty bottle to complete my inventory, as all the sidequests are just so fun. I do wish that MM had more dungeons though, but whatever. ![]() MM competes with TP as my favorite Zelda. Ironic, I know. I guess TP just has a good sense of flow, that's all.

Re: OoT vs. MM: Which is better?
OoT. So much longer. Cool dungeons to top it off and the cool Kokiri and Gerudo. Awesome enemies and dungeon bosses. Plus it's the first 3-d Zelda. Not saying I'm a fanboy or anything. OoT is the best Zelda game next too WW, TP, and ALTTP. Although I'm getting a bit off topic. *Runs back on topic.* I love ooT and it doesn't have the 3-day time period. Thatw as the main thing in MM that made me not like it. The 3-day thing would've been a lot better if time didn't pass so fast in MM. OoT also had cool music and cool swords. It even had an awesome sidequest to get one.

Re: OoT vs. MM: Which is better?
Yes, Majora's mask because:
1. Goron Mask, I liked rolling around Termina Field with some Chateau Romani. Also the other masks were cool. 2. The moon, with those eyes and face 3. Watching the moon destroy Termina Also boss replay, more sidequests, and the fact that every character has a schedule.

Re: OoT vs. MM: Which is better?
You know what? You should blame your lack of problem solving abilities and lack of ability to think instead of the game if you cannot figure out the Song of Inverted Time, which slows the game time down to a third...

^ Harsh but true! The inverted song of time is a huge help in that game for sure!
