Fire Temple (Original Version)?

No V1.1 has the Fire Temple chant in it too. It got changed in 1.2, your list is wrong.

When I first played OoT, I had rented the game. I guess it was one of the original versions because I remember the original song from the Fire Temple. I thought I was going crazy when I got OoT/MQ for the Gamecube and didnt hear that music.

Because I have worn both Green and Red and it was the same color blood.

When I first played the Fire Temple, I heard the original music. I never knew that there was a second version until I heard the news about the change somewhere.

And yes, the original music is WAY better.

It depends on what version you have. I think it only works in V1.0.

Aha! I once heard the music in Fire Temple in an emulated game, and I was wondering why there was no chanting. I thought it was a glitch or something. But it must of been emulated with the censored version.

That's VERY pathetic that they took out the original Fire Temple theme. At least we have the original cartridge to preserve the true Masterpiece.

I apologize for bumping up a 2 week year old topic but I thought that you guys might be interested in this amazing Fire Temple remix this guy called ps3punk7890 did for his Fire Temple mod.

Fire Temple (with choirs)

It combines the Original Fire Temple music with the newer one. Along with adding the Shadow Temple music. It just sounds simply incredible.

My cartridge is not gold, but it has all the original stuff. I've heard the original Fire Temple theme, and I like it better than the current one. Hearing it while in the temple, for some reason, isn't scary. And it has much more emotion than the current one.

They did remove it because of the chants, but not because those actually said something. Muslims made Nintendo change the theme only because it sounded like actual prays they do. Those Muslims...

Also, they made Nintendo remove the old Gerudo symbol, too, because it was identical to their symbol, only flipped horizontally.

As for the blood, they changed every blood from red to green, because blood isn't E tagged, you know. Even Gold Skulltullas have green blood.

I really like the original version of the game better.

I have heard it on the N64 version before. I was helping my little cousin beat the fire temple (he has the gold version, I don't) and as I was playing I heard the chanting and it creeped the hell out of me. The meaning of the chanting might not have been intentional though, the developers could have just gotten it from a public sound library, not knowing what it meant. If it was intentional

Thanks for sharing that download link. I'm almost certain that my 64 cartridge of OOT has the old version of the Fire Temple music, despite being the gold one. I play it on Wii's Virtual Console now, though, which must have the newer version of the music (I'm only almost certain about that too, lol).

Hmm, this is interesting...

I own the gold cartridge, yet it does not have any chanting in the Fire Temple, and Ganondorf coughs up green vomit rather than red blood at the end. The Gerudo symbol hasn't been changed though - I believe that change occurred when Ocarina of Time was re-released with Wind Waker and Master Quest. So I must have the gold version of 1.1.

Incidentally, I love the chanting in the Fire Temple, and I honestly can not decipher the word "Allah" anywhere in it. They should have left it in the game, I reckon.

Edit: Actually listening to it again now, I can sort of make out something that sounds like "arrr-yahhhhhhhhh", which could be "Allah". Even so, I still think it should have been kept in the game.

ODD! i have the original version of the game..its grey but i got it very close to release date...i always ALWAYS heard the chanting...although i dont remember if its in the Cube version...
Ganondorf always coughs up red blood and when i hit him at the end of the game as a beast, its red too..hmmm

The version I have is the gray, or silver, cartridge and it still has everything in it. Though when I played my cousins version (gray/silver) I noticed Ganon's blood was green and just thought it was the tv's coloring. But now that I read this I understand it now.
