By the first part I'm guessing you're asking about what happens to Jabu-Jabu in the Adult part of the game. Nobody really knows...Jabu-Jabu just disappears. Some people believe that Jabu-Jabu is the Windfish from Link's Awakening, they do bear a slight resemblance.

Jabu-Jabu could of just been your normal fish and been granted powers of large size by the Great Fairy living nearby...or it could of been some freak accident. Who knows?

Jabu-Jabu is a large fish and the Zoras are fish people...so why have a fish "god" while the Zoras worship a tree? That last part was sort of confusing but I needed something weird like that to make sense.

I think that jabu jabu died in the seven years. When Ganon took overhyrule, maybe he killed jabu jabu and all the other zoras and froze (the freaky and fat)King Zora.

Jabu-Jabu could of been killed. But I don't think the Zoras got killed off either since Ruto says that the Zoras will return.

From what I can tell, Lord Jabu-Jabu was some kind of water spirit. I dont know why the Zoras worship him, but it's possible he gave life to them(much like the Deku Tree did with the Kokiri) - Although that's just pure speculation

And as to how he got up there...
Magic?

it probably wasnt a spirit. When your a kid, ruto said that an evil man(ganondorf) poisoned jabu jabu, or something like that. I dont think a spirit would get sick.

Well, in Windwaker Ganondorf killed two sages and Jabun runs away from Ganondorf after he destroys his isle...so I think Ganondorf could destroy spirits or get them sick...but I could be wrong since Windwaker is tons of years after OOT.

Wasn't the Deku Tree a spirit or God of some sort. Ganondorf got him sick.

Not only that but Ganondorf was responsible for the Deku Tree getting sick and the Gorons food supply issues, so why wouldn't he have a hand in getting Jabu-Jabu sick?

Yah, and the Zoras refer to Jabu-Jabu as a Guardian Diety or something. If Jabun from WW is a spirit, why cant Jabu-Jabu be one?

Maybe he was born smaller?

In WW, some of the descendants of the Zora worship Valoo, and instead of looking like fish, they have wings for flight that they credit Valoo for. It seems likely to me that the Zora/Ruto get their traits as blessings from their patron deity, so they may have first decided to worship JabuJabu because he would grant them their special aquatic ability.

It has just occured to me that each race has an individual incarnate deity, except for the gorons, thats kinda weird.

The Gorons come off as a race that believes that a person can accomplish their own goals or save themselves. They can't sit around and pray to some God to help them solve their problems because they are a Proud Race and believe that they should solve their own problems. (Or make a little kid do it to prove himself worthy >.>)

I always thought Jabu froze into that huge chunk of ice floating there.

In OoT, Ganondorf made Jabu develop all of those enemies inside. An old thread said it was Ganondorf who put the message in the bottle:

"Help me, I am waiting for you in Jabu Jabu's Belly
-Ruto"

The argument was he did this to lure Link into getting that Spiritual Stone. I believe in the other side, that it was really Ruto who wrote the message and sent it out of Jabu (think where, ewww).

Well, If Ganodorf Is able to take over all of hyrule and nearly destroy it when he has the triforce, he was almost as strong without it. Without it, he destroyed the Deku Tree, filled a cavern with Dodongo's and Filled a fish with Ceatures. Maybe Ganondorf was theone why Jabu-Jabu is large. When he took over Hyrule and almost destroyed it, who knows what happened to life and water etc.?

According to OoA, he grew that way. Anyway, he is the ice you hop over to get to the Ice Cavern(fish sticks anyone?)or he is Zora Hall in MM,they ripped out his innards and made him their new apartment(not so loyal after all huh?)Anyway,I hated him purely for the fact that you have to go inside him in every game he appears in...eeewww...not Nintendos best idea, however it would be interesting to see what his insides would look like in modern graphics.

Not to be rude or anything but that's already been said. Anyway I personally don't think Jabu becomes that ice block because it looks way smaller than he did. Maybe he's at the bottom? I never checked...

Jabu-Jab is the spirt worshiped by Zoras. Rather he died or not in unknown and can only be guessed. No, Jabu-Jab did not turn into a gaint icecube :l. I have not playded all of the Zelda games so I not not know if he comes back or not, though if you made this thread Im gussing Jabu-Jab did not. He could of died, after all his daughter was going to be the new leader of the Zoras (at least in OOT).

MM is likely not even in the same dimension as hyrule, and if it was why would the zoras move his body so far?
