bunny hood

Has anyone ever played Majora's Mask got used to the bunny hood then started to play Ocarina of Time and think the movent speed is wierd because no bunny hood to help you run?

But then again, not really.

I always play MM after OoT(sequel and all), so normally I get over it.

Not really no. OoT seems like a smaller world with less running, you don't need speed enhancements.

Im not saying I got confused I can just get annoying how slow link seems without the bunny hood. We dont need to keep this topic alive so it up to you if you post or not.

Actually, OoT's masks do have special abilities. If you wear the bunny hood, stalchildren won't attack you.

Ye i knew that but its not not as good as running fast and those Stalchildren are hardly threatening and apart from, thye ovious mask of truth I'm sure another mask does somthing like stop enemies attack you but I'm not realy sure.

I've never really felt the need to run faster in OoT but I have switched to OoT after MM and missed having the option of using the hood. I do the same thing when I've been playing one game for a while and then switch to another, like I was playing Mass Effect and then went back to playing FFXI and I was trying to use the sprint that I used in Mass Effect out of habit (although in that case running faster would really help lol)

I hate Majora's Mask, it was my least favorite Zelda game. That bunny hood was the ****e tho.

But yeah, I've done that before.

off topic:OOT and MM are my faverate zelda games and windwaker is maybe my least faverate though
I still enjoyed it.

anyway back on topic its kinds funny to turn on OOT after MM put the bunny hood on and go what the hell im running normal speed.

no...things like that make me just feel like child link is a wiener because he can kill monsters but he cant look heroic, be brave, or run fast like a monster killer should.

True the bunny hood looks like somthing people make their babies wear but it was the most usefull mask or even the most used mask by maybe everyone and given the option I think everyone will choose to run faster than they could especialy if theres no down sides to it.

ye theres a hole where these deku scrubs do something cool if you wear the gerudo mask...i wonder if you can ride your horse faster with the gerudo mask...prolly not. the mask that looks like the stone mask/bowling ball/deku shield will prevent redeads from attacking and if im not mistaken they start dancing. forget the gerudo horse thing...otherwise the zora mask would give you swimming skills and I dont think it does.

Firstly you can only wear the Gerudo mask when you're a child, and in Oot the only time you can ride a horse is as an adult.
Wow, I never knew that about the redeads and the spooky mask (or whatever it's called). Will have to try that one!

I think you might be confusing the Spooky mask with the Gibdo mask/Garo mask/Captain's hat in MM. Those would cause Redeads to dance and not attack you, and the Gibdo mask would let you talk to Gibdos. But in OOT, I'm pretty sure the Spooky mask is only for fun and doesn't really have any effects aside from getting different reactions from people.

How cool would it be if the made a new version of OOT, in which the masks and hoods worked the way they did in MM? Everything essentially identical to normal OOT, except for the masks from MM.

No. More. Effing. Remakes. Nintendo should be focusing on making new Zelda games, not remaking existing ones.

The best way slip passed redeads or even a good combat strategy is to play the sun song and they will be stunned. I have no idea for how long since I never gave them long enough to move again after killing them.

I don't remember exactly, but in OoT some or all of the masks do something special, even if it's a little thing. One of them shoos away the birds that try to attack you, keese/guay. The bunny hood I know for sure keeps the stalchildren underneath.

It's kinda funny that in ALTTP, Link turns into a Bunny in the Dark World when he doesn't have the Orb.

i hated being a bunny on that game becuase i couldnt attack or defend myself.

Actually, if a thread is over a month old it is considered "dead", and people aren't allowed to post in it. This thread will likely be locked as soon as it catches a mod's attention, so...

I wont be a moron and moan if this does get locked but I thought they just leave threads and if they get knocked off from newer posts the older posts just leave. It happens and posting comments on dead threads just bump them and give them longer time in the forums.

Kinda but its not that hard to get used to. I mean I definitaly was like grr I wanna go faster but I never really had trouble because I wasn't used to the slowness.

true it was realy easy to get used to and if anyone did that mistake by putting the bunny hood on to run faster it would be under very rare cercumstances. Once I got the mast of truth I just kept that as my mask and didnt use any other.

YES!! i used the bunny hood the WHOLE game. Trying to play OOT was really frustrating, because it takes a while to call Epona, and she usually ends up stuck in a corner or something. They have the bunny hood in OOT, but it doesn't do anything. I was so mad when I went through all the trouble to find it.
