Temple of Time loop hole

I couldnt help but notice something a long time ago.

There is a window in the Temple of time where the Master sword is, instead of collecting all the spritual stone could you just breack the windo and come in from there?

Thats quite a good point.
Erm but that would have made getting into the temple really boring i guess.

A little pointless for me to state this, but that's what's called "defeating the purpose of the game".

^ Yes, but it's always fun to question video game logic.

It's a video game. Therefore normal logic doesnt apply.

That makes too much sense for it to work in a video game

Besides, if you were going to do something like that, you could just use a Gameshark and walk through the Door of Time.

or you could bomb through the door of time.

Yeah. Logic doesn't exist in video games. Plus, that would take away a big chunk of the game. And the fun. There's a lot of things you could do if the game were more realistic. Kill navi, bomb your way through locked doors, and KEEP THE KEYS.. The ones that you use for the doors.. Use them throughout the whole dungeon.. Really. They just.. Disappear.

Yah, I cant begin to say how rediculously boring the game would have been if all we had to do was break through a window.

It's cheesy

I'd also like to point out that at the end of the game Navi flies out through a window that isn't even open.

You're all forgetting that the window Navi flew through leads to the TP temple of time, not outside. So no, you can't just break a window to get in.

I think he's talking about how that same window is used to access the inner parts of the Temple of Time in TP.
Problem is...we dont know if that part exists yet in OoT

Plus I dont believe Navi would fly into a dungeon.

Also Link leaves Hyrule to look for Navi so it seems more likely that Navi would have left completely, not entering a dungeon.

It's video game logic, so it doesn't apply. It's like playing a game where you can't jump and wondering why the character just doesn't jump to reach a ledge or something.

Link wouldn't know where the window leads, since it never actually opens. It would make sense to look for her where he met her, in the Lost Woods / Kokiri Forest area, and MM never shows him actually finding her, which could mean she wasn't there after all, but was in the temple instead. TP's window opening into the temple always struck me as being a purposeful allusion to Navi's OoT ending scene

It doesn't open in TP either, it can become invisible. Perhaps it doesn't actually have to become invisible for you to walk through it, like a hologram, which could be why Navi was able to fly through it without turning off the hologram appearance.

That particular window was protected by magic and ninja throwing stars. It makes sense if you think about it. Really hard.

Or something.

maybe the window in the temple of time was protected by magic like the door of time also? So to break through the window you might have to get the spiritual stones also? Just a guess

If you were to avoid getting the spiritual stones, then you would avoid defeating all the evil in the child time. Thus ignoring the problem at hand, just to advance yourself seven years. Without defeating anything in the child timeline, you'd find yourself even more screwed than before.

The issue though, is that if it were really possible to enter a window, someone else who thought themselves a hero could have gone in and taken the Master Sword

Not A hero, TEH hero. TEH TEH TEH hero. And if they did, they would have hanged them. It's a sacred place which is obviously highly respected due to the fact no one is ever there, or walking around there, or praying there etc.

True. I still don't think entering the windows is possible though because the same windows have walled corridors behind them in TP.

That and it's too high, nothing to scale the building, probably too small for a human (maybe a fairy ;D) and you know, cool stuff like that.

They could have entered the chamber with the Master Sword, but only "one worthy of the title Hero of Time" can pull the sword from the pedestal.
