Official N64 Zelda Glitch Thread

I found one similar to that. If you go to any of those wierd eyeball stones, shoot it with a fire arrow or put a bomb next to it it'll beep 3 times then fly up like a Nasa space rocket. Super cool!

theres this glitch called the crooked cartridge glitch. I dont feel like typing it. but it lets you skip a bunch of parts in the game. but if you do it wrong enough times, it could erase all you save files. that happened to me, but I dont care because I beat the game like 15 times.

4th Day Glitch

At the end of the 3rd Day in majoras mask, go to the obseratory and look through the telescope. wait untill the screen fades to black (after the moon has crashed) and press B. You are now in Day 4. A number of things are different. The moon has vanished (it's actually really high), I town's almost empty, Day one's music plays, Talking to some people frezzes the game, Playing the Double Song of time frezzes the game.

A few other things probably happen but I havn't fully explored it yet

I really tried this, but for some reason it didnt work. I waited at the end of the third day, looking through the telescope. First I waited untill after the little scenerio, but obviosly that was wrong. next time I hit B right before the moon crashed, the timer at 00:00:14. So you are supposed to press it RIGHT as it turns black?

You have to hit B no earlier than 00:00:02 I believe, the object being that you have to hit B just as the 4th day starts. It's not all that hard to do.
Once in, you can't hit any Stone Statues, play the song of double passing and a few other things.

i love using the keaton mask and so i decided it would be cool to see the moon crash aggain and so i forgot i had the keaton mask and it started badck on first day and i went to the mail box keaton mask still on then the game went loopy (flickering) then it showed him flying from the blast of the moon hitting the ground and i dont know if the keaton mask is important but he still had it and it froze him half way through the air

Soo... having the Keaton Mask on when the moon crashes causes the game to glitch? That's awsome!

Sounds like a problem with your cartridge, not an actual glitch.

does anyone know any glitches to get epona into clock town? i heard somewhere that there was one and i want to find it, i cant look it up on youtube to see if there is one on there because i have dial up

First make sure you have two files (the second one can be a copy of the first). In file 1 start at the Dawn of the First Day and save at the owl statue in Clock Town. Go to the second file and leave town call Epona and ride her to the swamp or Milk Road and save at the owl statue WHILE ON EPONA (you may or may not have to Z-target the owl statue). Go back to the first file and when you start at the owl statue in Clock Town you should be on Epona. You can now ride her anywhere in town.

I guess the game gets confused as to which file you were riding Epona in.

In zoras domain as a child you can find a place by a ladder that is simply a black square a guy on youtube found a way to get in theres nothing behind it though.

The best glitch ever PERIOD

In OoT, i heard u could catch Navi in a bottle. is that actually possible? ive never tried it myself.

Make Navi freeze in place while in the Temple of Time (Note: I did not discover this):

You know how you can only read the description of the alter with the Spiritual Stones once as an adult? Well read it, then play Saria's Song while making sure you can see the alter behind Link (other than that it doesn't matter where you stand). Navi will ask you if you want to talk to Saria. Say yes and after Saria says "Link, this is Saria. Can you hear me?" press A. Instead of going to the next part of the text, the box will disappear. However it will still be dark and Navi will still be floating as if you are talking to Saria. You can now move around without Navi following you.

This is only in affect until you leave the Temple of Time. There is away to do it anywhere, but that is only for the gold cartridge (which I do not have and therefore I don't remember how to do it).

i know how to get out of clock town as fierce deity link
go into east clock town and go on to that place on top of the milk bar.
hop on the fence thats closest to the gaurd.
face forward towards the wall run and jump off the fence and while in mid air turn towrds the gaurd.
you should land in back of him.

Make sure you don't have the feirce deity mask on your C-Stick. Put on the zora's mask and go right to the edge of the pond so that you are swimming but your feet are inside the floor. Now repidetly press b. While doing that unequip the zora's mask but don't stop pressing B. The action icon on B should now have nothing on it. If you did it right, you shouldn't be able to move. Press and hold A while facing the land and Link should make the "Starting to swim" noise twice. Now don't move! Press start and go to the mask subscreen. Equip the feirce deity mask over the zora mask. Press start again and the Put on the feirce deity mask. There you go, feirce deity mask anywhere. Pretty creepy, he's HUGE.

I also have another way to be Fierce Deity Link out of boss rooms. I'm not sure if it works on the Gamecube, but it surely does on N64. Go to the third day, and to Ikana Canyon, where Kafei is waiting to go in that place. Then you go to the right side of the boulder, blocking the way in, and press C-Up and look straight at the crack. Then after that, you press B, to get out of first person, then you roll, and you can get in through the crack. If it doesn't work, you hold Z and walk a little more to the right or left, just to adjust yourself to the right place. Then you get in there, put on the mask, and let Kafei's mask get put down in the hole. Then leave the place, and voila.

i tried it! and it works. i have the gc version.

this glitch is kinda cool: in oot, at the end when you re fighting ganondorf (not ganaon, just to clarify), and you re using the Master Sword to deflect the energy bolts, you can use a bottle (yes, a bottle!) instead and defeat ganon using it however, it usually takes longer this way for some reason.
