Majora's Mask trouble.

I have played through the game once before, although this time the Telescope at the start where you are supposed to zoom in on the guy with Majora's mask is completely black. I can't see anything except stats(hearts, equipment, clock). I can however zoom in on places, I just don't know what the heck I'm zooming in on. This may be a lot to ask, but I wondered if any of you kind people would tell me how to move the Telescope before I zoom in? Like how many times I should press upwards and then how many left or whichever direction it may be. That would be really kind..

Try changing the direction you look, it sounds to me like your looking at a black sky, or your game disk/ cartrage is damaged/not fully inserted.

Nah, it's not going to change. It's black.. very black :p I'm playing it on an emulator, but I own the original cartridge, so it's legal anyway

Use the real game! Then it will work just fine.

Oh, and roms are illegal no matter what. look in the copyright page of the manual...

Actually roms are legal if you own the original game or delete them within 24 hours.

My sister has my N64 and my brother has my Zelda game, which makes things a bit complicated. I thought I would save some time and just play the game on an emulator, since it actually is legal.

As you can see ROMs are illigal no matter what, and the 24 hour law is false, it's just a cheap idea to increase traffic to ROM sites. I
