The Ocarina

Where did the Ocarina Of Time come from? Its never said in the game at all. Could it be a gift from the gods? Or could it be that it was made by Rauru to open up the Door Of Time?

This just struck me as odd after thinking that we never hear about where it came from.

The game never gave any background info on it. All it said was that it was the treasure of the royal family.

Yea. That's what I know too. And that's all we know about it. I think Nintendo did want it to be shrouded in mystery but it really isn't at all. Zelda just tosses to you like "here take it" then nothing really.

While I can't personally recall hearing anything special about it, I'd assume it has something to do with the gods of Hyrule, due to it's magical properties.

Uh, Zelda and Impa were running for their lives, she didn't just casually go up to Link, say "golly nice day here take this" like you said, she didn't have the time, more likely, she desperately threw it at Link in an attempt to save Hyrule.

And what an arm she has, that was maybe 150-200 ft?

But there really isn't any more to add. There's no explanation towards the origin of the Ocarina of Time.

The origins of the Ocarina of Time may be as the Temple of Time, as the two are linked together. So I'd rather hold a finger on the theory that it was the sages who made it. But as this is not mentioned in-game, it can come from anywhere else, really.

maybe the ocarina was made along with the temple of time and the spiritual stones as kindof a way to keep out any evil minds from the realm of the triforce as for who made it my guess is as good as yours. the two composer brothers you find in the graveyard say that they were studying the magical properties of ocarina notes... so maybe ocarinas are a powerful magical device so the royal family had one crafted of the finest clay and etc. so they could protect the triforce from ganondorf and other evils. of course i could be completely wrong the ocarina may have just always been there since the gods created hyrule and when the royal family's first ancestor found it he decided to keep it kind of like fate or something.

I think the Ocarina was created along with the Spiritual Stones and the Temple of Time, since you need all four to open the door of time. There isn't much direct evidence to support this, but it makes sense that they're connected.

My Theory (Id Get Ur Glasses On For This. Your Gunna Need Them ^^):

In Hyrule There Are 3 Gods. Din, Nayru And Farore. Each One Gave Its Bit To Make Hyrule. The Gods Then Decided To Rest And Let Hyrule Reign. They Made A Royal Family. They Also Choose Sages. These Sages Protected The Sacred Realm. The Gate Of The Realm Was The Light Temple In Which The Temple Of Time Was Built To Protect Evil From Gaining Access To It.

The Door Needed 4 Keys To Enter. They Entrusted 4 Races To Hold The Keys. The Koriki Were Entrusted With The Spirit Gem Of The Forest. The Goron's Were Entrusted With The Gem Of Fire And The Zora's Were Entrusted With The Gem Of Water. Finally The Hyrelians Were Entrusted With The Orciana of Time. Once All 4 Keys Were Together, The Path Of The Sacred Realm Would Be Open. The Master Sword Was The Final Key. If Pulled From Its Stand, Evil May Enter The Sacred Realm. Only A Hero Could Take The Sword.
