Which enemies made your jaw drop?
When I first played through OoT, I found most of the enemies impressive and tricky to beat, but for me, encountering the Iron Knuckle as child Link was a moment where I sat back and went 'wow'. The damage he dealt and the way he knocked down the pillars was pretty intimidating, and it altogether gave me a feeling of helplessness wondering how I was going to defeat that as a child.
Have any of you had similar 'wow' moments when playing OoT or MM?Last edited by TriForks; 01-26-2008 at 05:34 PM. |

Nope not really. None of the enemys really surprised me. They're pretty easy once you figure out what they do to fight. Iron Knuckles are easy to beat just jumpslash and backflip.
Let's see Majora didn't surprise me with enemys either since they're just reused OoT enemys. |

The only one that surprised me was, Ganon for Ocarina of Time, because when I was small I was like no way in heck I am going to beat him.

The Re-deads in TP. Not because they looked cool or scary, but because i was dsappointed, I was looking forward to them the most.
But as for most "wow" enemy... Molgera ( i think that's his name) from WW, where you have to grapple the tongue.

The moon in Majora's Mask. I didn't notice it until the last day, and I actually jumped.
On a somewhat unrelated topic, where are the Iron Knuckles when you are a child in Oot? I only just beat the Forest Temple, if you might go back to being a kid in Ganon's Castle or something.

Re: Which enemies made your jaw drop?
The biggest "wow" I've ever had for the LoZ games was probably Bongo Bongo.
The fact that he comes out of the well as a gray and black smoky spirit kinda made me shake in my boots. The whole time leading up to the boss battle in the Shadow Temple, the only thing I could think of was how big or how scary is this thing gonna be. When I knew I was gonna fight the boss, every second seemed to last a minute... Then when I saw his hand beat the thing I was standing on, I kinda jumped. When I saw his second hand, I started to understand what it was. Then I saw its body with the big red eye! WOW!

Re: Which enemies made your jaw drop?
Alright, so that huge rock robot on PH was a little bit "Wow" when you first come up against him. When the witch twins merge in OoT is kindof freaky.
I wouldn't call it cheap, the one in the temple of the gods was just a test to see if you were ready. So why wouldn't they use one they had seen the former hero defeat before.

Ganon at the end of Ocarina of Time. Greatest. Boss intro. Ever. Too bad he was embarassingly easy to defeat after such an impressive and intimidating transformation.

Re: Which enemies made your jaw drop?
My favorite boss in any N64 Zelda game was Barinade. This is directly related to the fact that he had three forms and looked super cool.

Re: Which enemies made your jaw drop?
Hmm, I'd say that my jaw dropped when I fought Tyrant and a Crimson Head, not to mention my first "El Gigante"....oh, Zelda games not Resident Evil...
I think that the most amazing enemy I ever faced the first time was probably the Goron Mine boss in TP, it looked so intimidating, (too bad it was a pushover).
