Official N64 Zelda Help Thread

There is going to be a revamp of the Help-Thread system in the near future. By popular request, I have put up this temporary help thread to appease the masses ;0)

You may still post threads discussing aspects of N64 Zelda games in the regular area, but please keep your "omgosh how do you jump??!/1" questions to this thread.

Well, if this counts, I'd like to know how to do a glitch. I've heard some people say that there is a way to get past the Gerudo gate as child link in OOT without gameshark. Should someone explain this?

I get the fierce diety mask, then save with the song of time, and I thought I'd have the mask, but I don't. Do you have to beat Majora first or is that the onyl battle you can use it in. Please help urgently!!!!

I'm playing MM for two years and I never figured out what should I do to help Anju's Grandmother and The Man from the Curiosity Shop, to put 'em a happy sticker. Anyone?

You don't, in theory, HELP the grandma... you have to listen to one of her stories without falling asleep (seriously). You need to buy the All-Night Mask to do that, which becomes available in the Curiosity Shop on the second night (but ONLY if you don't stop Sakon from stealing the old lady in North Clock Town's Bombs). It costs alot, you'll need a wallet upgrade to get the money to buy it. Once you have it, put it on and talk to the grandma. Listen to a story, and then she'll ask you if you liked it. I think you should say no, and if you do, you get a piece of heart. If you don't, listen again, and say yes. You will have cleared up the Grandma in your bomber's notebook.

Oh, and the Curiosity Shop? To get a happy sticker on that, you need to do the Kafei and Anju quest, which is VERY complicated. I can't explain all of that. You'll need to consult a walkthough.

In oot how do you tell how much percentage % of the game you have completed?

You can't. But online there are lists of 100%. I even think there is an old thread with that list somewhere here. I edited the list, but some people have a different interpretation of what makes it 100%.

In the inventory thing i have all but a bottle and ice arrows. I have 83 gold spider things, got all the medallion things and beaten ganon's castle, and i have a big goron sword, i got Epona and the cow, I have to gold scale and i have 16 hearts with the white line around them. When i find out what other stuff counts i'll say if i got them as well.

This thread is for help in a N64 Zelda game, not to find out if you've gotten 100%... you can easily do the math yourself with Seven Year's "100% requirements" post, once you have all the calculations. ^.^

is there a 100% list for MM?

and about MM: is there anything you can do with the "stolen room" you get the first day at pot inn? and what about the sad goron outside?

I did the quest with Anju and Kafei, and got them married, but there's another quest on the last night, and I can't find out what.

You mean to help the curiosity shop owner? I think if you buy the All-Night mask that completes the bomber notebook entry for him because it counts as a gift from him. Remember you need the giants wallet to buy it, which you get from clearing the oceanside skultulla house on the first day.

That might be it, it was either that or doing the Kafei and Anju quest.

i am stuck in the water temple of ocarina of time im near the entrance if you first jump onto the ledge and then look back and to your right there is a ledge at the top there and im up there trying to change the water but zeldas lullaby wont work and there is no other way around it. please help me

That isn't the ONLY place to change the water level. Here's a hint: look underwater at the lowest floor.

it wont work you cant use your ocarina underwater can you? any thing else i should try? i seriously dont want to start over
