Re: Official N64 Zelda Help Thread
You need to go to Goron city, and talk to his son, who happens to be upset. Basically what Oscarius said.
Cheers, Joe

Help please :]
In the bottom of the well in Ikana canyon, there is a gibdo who says, "Leave me something warm that can melt ice and quench one's spirits." I assume he is talking about blue fire?
If I am correct, where would I find blue fire? And is the door behind the gibdo even important? I've already gotten through the doors that lead to the mirror sheild, but if there is something important behind that other barred door i'd hate to miss it. Please reply! |

Re: Official N64 Zelda Help Thread
After you've gotten the Mirror shield, there's nothing else to retrieve. The rest of the dungeon is just filled with the stuff that the gibdos want so that you don't have to keep going in and out of the well to get them, which you probably did anyway.

Actually , I didn't. I only left the well once to get beans and milk. But thanks for the clarity anyways. You never know with zelda; there could always be something of importance behind a random door. |

Re: Official N64 Zelda Help Thread
Still stuck in OoT mode are we? Thats ok, But there is no such thing as Blue fire in Majoras mask, the closest thing to it, is hot spring water, found in the snowhead region in Darmani's grave, If you need directions there, just let me know.
Cheers, Joe I've been playing my OoT (gamecube version). I have set out to find the big poes, Well, I found all but 1, and I cant find it. I know the place it SHOULD be, and I have checked all of the other places, but the little bugger wont get up. Is it possible that in the transfer from N64 to disc, it got deleted or somthing? What should I do? What happened? Has anyone else experienced this? Cheers, Joe

Re: Official N64 Zelda Help Thread
My only guess, is that you might have already gotten the Big Poe in the area that you were searching in and you just need to search in other places. And I don't think that the Data could have been lost, but who knows. If anything, you might want to report it to the place where you bought the game, say its defective or something and ask for a new one. But other than that, I don't know what to tell you. . . .

Re: Official N64 Zelda Help Thread
I'm pretty sure he's referring to either the Collector's Edition or the original version of OoT that comes on the Master Quest disc, both of which are on GameCube. At any rate, I've played OoT on the Collector's disc, and I know for a fact that you can find all 10 on there, since I've done it before. So be relieved that it's not a data error! The downside of that is that it must be your error.
![]() I suggest taking any map or guide (GameFAQs is your best bet), and systematically check each and every location; there are only ten of them, so it shouldn't be too time consuming. Like someone suggested, it's possible that the one you think you're missing may be one you've already gotten. Hope that helps. |

Re: Official N64 Zelda Help Thread
Your map, compass, and instrument (like the Hero's Bow from Woodfall) will be still with you, but yes you have to do everything again.

Re: Official N64 Zelda Help Thread
Here is one video detailing all 10 Locations:
YouTube - Zelda Ocarina of Time - Big Poes Technically a Big Poe is located in a certain area. You can approach the area in different directions and it will still show up. The one near the Lon Lon Ranch entrance can be defeated by going East or West, when you hug the wall. If there is only one direction possible, you still have the option of backing up into it instead of riding forward. For instance, where that hill surrounded by the fence is, near the Kakariko Village entrance, you can back up into the corner and the Big Poe will appear in front of Epona.

Re: Official N64 Zelda Help Thread
All 10 can be found so like it has been suggested before you are probably looking in a place where you already have got the big poe although there is one that is a real pain in the bum and disappears really quickly so that takes a lot of practice for someone patient...I gave up hehe

Re: Official N64 Zelda Help Thread
If I remember crrectly, there were two big poes very close to each other, maybe you thought it was only one and left it behind?
I remember I also had a lot of trouble getting the last one. Also, something funny happened with the pieces of heart. I could not get the last one, not even with a guide. I had to complete the game again to get them all...
