Something is wrong here...

In OoT when you talk to the guy that guards the gate to hyrule field he says that the kokiri would dye if they leave the forest but when you see the ending there are alot of kokiris(sorry if i spell it wrong) In LonLon ranch so that leaves me a question:


Does he means that the kokiris doesn't have too much experience in another place so they will die or he means that the kokiris just die when they step another land?


If anyone has the answer please tell me

That was merely a myth made by the deku-tree to keep the kokiri safe from the darkness and evil of the outside world. (or so I believe)

1) Fado is sitting next to the zora king.
2) Saria is atop death mountain with the other sages.

Saria probably wouldn't be affected on account
of her being a sage but Fado is clearly alright.

Fado, Mido, whats's the difference. It was a kokiri.

But, why only Fado?

It was either a lie told by the Deku Tree (OMG, parent's lying to children to protect them? That's totally unheard of! Not.), or he meant they would grow old and die. Not just drop dead die.

Lol its because the Kokiri dont grow up ONLY when theyre in the enchanted forest. So since theyve lived for so many years, when they step out of the forest they begin aging which will lead to death.

OR, when they step out of Kokri Forest, they might get murdered by the Peahats or the Stallchild. Thats what I think.

i think it means that the kokiri will die after being out of the forest for a while. either that or the Deku Tree is an old geizer and is starting to babble out s***...liar.

Maybe, but then wouldnt the Deku Tree want them to grow strong instead of hiding?

I think that the Deku Tree lied to the Kokiri to protect them. He had good motives. Just think, he had been cursed by Ganondorf. We don't know how long he had been cursed. It could have been a long time. He might have realized the dangers outside the forest because of that and made up the 'never leave the forest thing' to keep the Kokiri where he could protect him while he could.

I never thought about how long that curse had been in place. Ganondorf could have come a long time before, and the Deku Tree knew that if he couldn't get rid of Ghoma himself, he'd never survive.

So ten years after Link is born, the Deku Tree knows he will soon die. He wants to give the emerald to Link, but first he must keep Ghoma from getting out (like Volvagia would have eventually gotten out). So Link saved the forest before leaving it to save Hyrule.

Maybe thats the reason but I need more theories
