The next adventure for the hero of time?

Okay, I've been wondering about this for some time now, And I decided to ask you all: What do you think Link did after MM? I mean we all know that after OoT he went back to being a kid so he could live his life then in real time he went through the MM story, but what happens next? Theres got to be some thing else! So tell me what you think will happen next. Or tell me if you think that this story will even continue!

He continued to travel outside Hyrule, having adventures and living a great life until he dies at the age of 86.

Re: The next adventure for the hero of time?

If we're just discussing the little guesses and theories of what the HoT did after MM, then this belongs in the N64 section. Now if you're discussing for the HoT to become the protagonist in another Zelda game (my opinion, it won't happen because all Links have 2 adventures, and the Hero of Time has had his), then this thread shall remain here.

For the time being, it will be in the N64 section until things have worked themselves out.

I believe that The Hero of Time moved on to solve some other problems, which we have not yet heard of. Eventually, he was killed when a giant pencil hit him in the eye.

I think the next HoT adventure may actually explain about the Hero's Shade. I think the Hero's Shade is actually the HoT!

No. The Hero's Shade is the Skeletor Mentor who taught Link the hidden skills in Twilight Princess.

I think you'll find the answer here.

Seriously, though, he probably did just settle down. He won't be in another game, at least.

Settling down is nice...
I'm a little curious as to what happens to him after MM as well. If not in another game, then in just a small story. If this will never happen, then I'd like to think he returned to hyrule for familiar faces, zelda, malon, anyone he considers his friend.

In TP, its several decades after the events of OoT, so do you really want a 60+ year old hero walking around?

Sure why not? It would be interesting to see Link raising a kid.

Re: The next adventure for the hero of time?

Somehow I don't think Hero-of-Time Link would be the type to settle down to a nice and peaceful existance after all the adventure he has seen...maybe retire to the forest when he is too old to fight, but I'd see him adventuring for the rest of his life. I assumed after MM he returned to Hyrule, and I hope they leave it at that. I like how they leave the ending open for us to decide, since WE are supposed to be Link.
However, I wonder if he may have played a role later after MM in Ganondorf's fall that lead to his banishment to the Twilight Realm. But Ganondorf didn't seem to particularily recognize TP Link's garb..so that's iffy, IMO.

And that's the crux of it, I guess. Though I'm betting he eventually gets together with [insert girl here] and has some more crazy adventures. He probably get's sucked into another parrallel universe, leaving his wife and kid (?!) behind. They think he's dead and eventually move on, remembering how awesome he was. When he finally returns he finds them happy without him, and decides never to let them know he's still alive, but watches over them from the shadows, sad for his own loss but altruistically happy that they, and the world, are safe. He dies in battle against the second greatest evil that almost destroyed Hyrule (not ganon) at the age of 84, but not before passing on his knowledge to a young protege, and ensuring that the foe is vanqueshed through his own death in some sort of metaphysical way. I guess in death he transfers his triforce of courage as well, and probably finds a way to transpose death as the Hero's Shade or something. So he dies happy. No evidence for this whatsoever.

I thought that was part of the point of the adventures being so far apart...anything can happen. It's up to us. And with TP being a little too close to OoT, people have tried to say..because TP Link lives here, he married this girl and such..they are actually taking the enjoyment out of the older games for some of us. We played as Link too, we want to decide what happened to him in our game!
So, that's probably a large part of the reason why the older heroes should be left alone. Nintendo would be smart, that way they won't offend anyone.
