Water Temple Glitch

I have OoT for Gamecube but I'd think it would go here. Anyway, I've never beaten OoT because of the Water Temple. I experienced a glitch where yuo come into a passageway with two pathes and a block. BEFORE taking the pathes I pulled the Block away stupidly. It fit into place and I can now not get to what is behind these pathways. I'm to lazy to start a new game. Has anyone experienced this before or know how to fix it? Is it a common glitch? Do I have to start a new game?

I don't really understand the glitch, but you'd probably want to use Farore's Wind.

Link goes up and pulls block away from passageway into the main room. Block slumps in position never to be moved.

Link pushes block but can't move block back to the center so he can go right/left

I ran out of small keys and am unable to change water level.

I... have got through the temple with one key remaining once... but I don't know if it could help here... are you just beginning the temple?
FOr the block, try to get out of the temple and come back to see if it has come back to the original spot.

I've tried. Its been that way for a few years. I have not the Longshot yet. It's a total glitch or something the producers forgot to be able to fix.

It's not a glitch...And that wouldn't be a glitch :-/

You're supposed to do that to pull the block into another room to get a chest to get the longshot.

I know.... I just can't continue through the passageways to get the small key or whatever. I was supposed to explore it first, right?

I have the feeling I know what you're talking about. If so, it's not a glitch. Let's see...

It's like coming to a T-junction, with a passage going left and right, with the block embedded in the wall in front of you, yes?

If that's the case, you're not stuck. From where you're standing, you need to get to the left passage and pull the block from that side, because the trench that it sank into continues in that direction. The only way to get there is from the top level, as it drops down into there. Once you've pulled the block out of the way, hookshot back up the way you came, then drop back to the second level, head back to the junction, and push the block all the way to the left, where it will sink into a hole in the floor. If I'm not mistaken, there was a small key in a chest behind it. I hope that helps.

EDIT: What's this about being unable to change the water level? There should be no exuse for that. You mean you can't raise it all the way to the top? You should certainly be able to change it to the second level using the Ocarina in the central column.

Here's something you may not have tried. It caught me out for ages the first time I played. In the central column of the Temple, when you raise the water to the second level, you'll notice a block gets carried up with the Water. I have the feeling you haven't gone down underneath where that block was - it was blocking a secret passage. Use the Iron Boots and sink down to the bottom, and you'll see it. There's at least one small key down there.

It kind of helps, but if I'm reading it correctly, I've already pulled the block back to the entrance of the hallway. Thusly, it's sealed for what i know. Let me check again.

Oh, just for future reference, this is the kind of thing that goes in the Official MM/OOT Help Thread, which is always there, to prevent little threads like this one cluttering up the boards. The mods usually close these ones. Anyway, it turns out I'd been getting the small keys in the complete wrong order, and I did it by getting the one behind the crack. I had forgotten how to lower the water level.

Water Temple beaten!

I think something Similair to that happened to me, i think i just skipped it...
