Theory About Majora's Mask ~TP spoilers~

So i beat TP on the Gamecube about a month ago, and the cutscene where the light spirit discuss with link about the Twili and thier orgins. That got me thinking about Majora's Mask and how a "Dark Tribe" created it, and how its power was known only to that tribe. And they vanished from the land, never to be heard from agian.

In short, i think that the Twili created Majora's mask. It makes since, because the tribe vanished from the earth, but has not been heard from again just like the Twili should have. but i havent figured out how the moon fits into the picture yet, I might fire up the ol' 64 this weekend and play it.

Your theory makes sence perfectly! You just need to add a little bit and say that the Twili created Majora's Mask BEFORE TP comes in the timeline. By the way, welcome to the forums!

Next time, put a warning in the topic title if your game discusses newly released games. Not everyone has played TP yet, myself included, and I'd rather not see stuff about it before playing. Just think about it, mkay?

I think I agree with you here. You got me thinking too because this is my fav Zelda. Majora's Mask might be linked with the Moon. When the Skullkid put on the mask it gave him extreme power which we know and it activated the moon like some kind of trigger left behind by the Dark Tribe thus starting the countdown to armageddon. You could also say that the moon is just a tool being used by the power of MM and has no link to the mask's creators.

The one problem i think is I always got the impression that the moon was behind the whole problem in MM. Because when the skull kid passess out, then the voice from nowhere pops up, and then Tatl says somthing to the effect of,"It cant be, then the Moon? "

I really need to play MM right now.

Just because the Fused shadows look like the Majora's Mask, doesn't make the Twili the same tribe. Remember, that this took place in Termina, and not Hyrule.

All I am saying is that I don't beleive that the Twili is that tribe. I mean, they look different than the 4 childern in the moon. :/

I do have my doubts to this. TP takes place in Hyrule; MM takes place in the parallel universe Clocktown. Twili are in Hyrule, and the Dark Tribe are in Clocktown. But I do think it's a possibilty. If the Twili are able to get to both worlds, like Link, then I don't see why it couldn't be possible. If one person (4 including Skull Kid, Tatl, and Tael) can get to both worlds, then I don't see why the Twili couldn't.
And, Link_herooftime, that thread is comparing the Twili to the Dark Tribe in FSA. Here we're talking about the Twili and the Dark Tribe of MM. Even though it's been brought up, that doesn't mean we can't start a thread about it.

Your grammer's a bit hard to understand. But in MM Link falls down a long hole in order to reach Termina in the first place. I don't see how it's another land if you have to fall to get to it. Plus there are all those similarities Termina and Hyrule share. If you pay attention, you'll see they're almost the same. The characters look the same, they just have different names. And Termina Field is greatly like Hyrule Field. Plus all the monster similarities, and the dungeons even. I could go on and on about this.

Even so the land in MM is called Termina, not clocktown. Clocktown is just one of the many places there and as said before termina is another land not universe.

But I don't know it kind of makes sense that the Twili would make it but the children who are supposed as tribe members who made the mask don't look like the Twili in TP.

You think I don't know that? I made it!

Look, Hyrule and Termina could be alternate game serials period for all I care. The triforce has been known to the Ancient Terminians, so it shows that they are seperate LANDS, not worlds. Link used a portal to get there (Yes, there is such a thing as a portal that doesn't go to the Sacred Realm!)

everyone who hasn't read a articale explanning that would understand but that hole was like anyother 50 foot share drop termina is not anouther land it was explained when the game was 1st realesed.
