Ocarina of Time 2D released!

Daniel Barras has been working on a fangame for four years now, and now all that work has paid off - the Private Beta has been released.
Screenshots of the game can be found at: http://www.trmgames.com/. The Private Beta isn't meant to be released to the public, obviously, but... I feel different today, so I'll give you the URL and login.

Go to: http://www.trmgames.com/private/Zeld...aTime_full.rar. It says you need a username and password. The username is Debugman and the password is twodimensions123.

The fact that this is still being developed is very exciting.
The screenshots look excellent, and he's apparently close enough to completing the demo.
Now if he could just be persuaded to do Majora's Mask 2D...

Ah... I swear that it was working a few days ago >.<. I'm not actually a beta tester, but one of the beta testers did give me the link and username/password (if TRM finds out, I think he's lost his beta tester position), and it did seem to be downloading... but I don't have it anymore, deleted it after making sure it was legit, so I can't mirror it for you .
Anyway, I'm not sure if this is the full version, or a beta of the demo. Last I heard he was working on Zora's Domain, but that was a whole year ago. He took a month for Kokiri Forest, so if he was working on Zora's Domain a year ago, then right now he should be about... .

Anyway, he was originally working on OoT2D, MM2D and WW2D, and he had screenshots of all . Well, Kokiri Forest shots of OoT2D, subscreen shots of MM2D and title screen of WW2D.

That looks great! We need a working link though. I'll make sure to get the demo when it comes out.

There is a demo on downloads but its quite glitchy I couldn't get past the Deku Tree because of some. But the pics for the final version look class.

I wonder how, exactly are they gonna pull this off? I seems like its a HUGE copyright infringement, and there's only one guy working on it, id love to try it, but idk....

They can't really stop him unless he makes people pay to play it because then it would brake copyright rules, at the moment it is just a fan game

So than he would give people copies for free? nah I prefere 3D Zelda over 2D Zelda but it would be pretty cool.

yeeh, he said hes not doing it for profit.,,. and this thread is turning into the one in the future zelda one

Actually, I believe they can stop him, I don't believe they will.

But I won't be playing it until there's a legit, final version. I don't see the need to do it to OoT though. If you're going to do all that work, why not makee an original 2D Zelda? Oh Well, its free, so I'll take what I get.

The only thing nintendo can do is pressure his server provider to remove the content or sue him over copyright violations which would be rather expensive for nintendo and they can't actually gain anything

But then isn't all other fan work breaking copyright violations? Such as fan art etc.
