Sheik

Did anyoen else think this character was so well done? She was alot better than Zelda, and it was also kinda calming and it felt ''safe'' when you ran itno him/her

The music that played, the fact that they were ''friends'' and stuff just made me feel all warm insde

Sir, you have a heart of steel!

I didn't think much about Shiek. I felt safe, but not warm really. It was just like, OK, I'm safe, and getting another song. Onto the next Temple!

Re: Sheik

Sheik was very well done. A mysterious ally in a world consumed by darkness seems like a good formula for an interesting character. Sheik's appearance was intriguing, allowing us a glimpse of the dress code of the Shekiahs. Sheik's behavior could have been a hint of his true identity, never allowing Link to get too close.

Re: Sheik

I was more puzzled by the fact Sheik kept his harp up his ass.
Made me feel uneasy :C

Haw.
Seriously - I liked Sheiks character, it wasn't so much a safe feeling I got but he was a helpful guide and explained things to you that wouldn't be immediatley apparent.

Re: Sheik

I thought Sheik was cool at first.

Then came the five million fanfics featuring him trying to find himself or something. I've since gotten very tired of Sheik (and the Sheikah in general).

Re: Sheik

I've always been a huge fan of those side characters that are all mysterious and unknown and loner like. I have no idea why.

But yes, she was well done. I didn't feel warm or anything, though. When I first played it, I seriously had no idea who she was until about the third time I saw her. I almost convinced myself she was a boy.

You shouldn't let all those poorly written fics ruin Sheik's image, though. Sheik was easily one of the coolest characters throughout the series. I smiled every time he showed up. ^^

Re: Sheik

I loved the fact that Sheik was a part of the game. I always loved when she played the songs on her harp...

Whats your point? in fact, Zelda has the power to change her eye colour, clothing and body shape in an instant, why cant she change her gender? I just wrote 'he' to simplify things anyway.

I do doubt that any character in Ocarina Of Time has much 'junk in the trunk' excentuated. You didnt prove that Zelda cannot change her gender. The reason I wrote 'he' was prominently because Sheik, as a character, wanted to be presented as a male.

Yeah. I mean, awesome though the N64 was, the 3D on that sucker could never make "Junk in the trunk". It would look like somebody had a box taped to there arse...

I think In get the he part. I mean, you can't suddenly remove breasts, now can you? I guess that if she is the magical princess of Hyrule, she could change gender..

I hear that.
I also refer to Sheik as a 'he' for the same reasons.

We don't know if Zelda was or was not able to change her gender - but don't you think changing her gender completes the whole disguise. IMO, Sheik isn't curvatious enough to be a woman :O

But it is one of the age old OoT arguments! X)

Thats true, some things in Ocarina Of Time werent meant to be answered, maybe this example is one of them. It is very much undeniable that Zelda's body shape is definatly changed in the process of the transformation, but perhaps to only what is neccacary...
