fire temple was cool too i like the look of the entrance stairs infront of three statues with fire inside them. and several of the rooms the big round room on level 3 (or was it 4) all the flame walls and the huge pillar like room in the centre

and yeh the scene when you get epona after jumping the fence, or standing in the field and you look towards Death Mountain.

the way new areas are revealed upon arrival is pretty cool.

Fav part

My fav bit is the entire musical score. It sets the mood for the game and story. Also when Link 1st pulls the master sword out of the pedastal. Man that was hot.

Re: Favourite part in OoT/MM from an artistic standpoint?

I thought the Temple of Time was the coolest building in Ocarina of Time from a purely artistic standpoint. The music in it was perfect, and I loved the Door of Time for some reason. Then, when the Door of Time opens, and the camera pans across the room to where the Master Sword rests in its pedestal was pretty cool.

I also liked the final battle with Ganon. The music was dark and slow, unlike the upbeat and hyper music to the other boss fights, and the flames and ruins of the castle, along with the lightning flashing in the dark, cloudy sky, made for an exciting and intense battle.

In Majora's Mask, I liked the cut scene where the four giants are headed for Clock Town to stop the moon from crashing into Termina. Something about that was very cool and symbolic about that to me.

My favorite part is the scene where Sheik and Link are talking in the temple of time and revieles she's Zelda. Theres a mysterious feeling in there.

In OoT in the Water Temple, I loved the room where you encountered Shadow Link. Just so...mysterious. Same goes for the Sacred Meadow and the Forest Temple.

Re: Favourite part in OoT/MM from an artistic standpoint?

The most artistic area? Well, in terms of artistry, the Spirit Temple, which someone mentioned. I just loved how it was organized, loved how everything fit together and was really in the mood of the area, and loved all of the mirrors. I think that it (along with the Fire Temple) was very well tied in with the plot.

MM was full of the points. The clock tower was great, and the ending sequence was great as well. I liked how they made the Happy Mask Salesman move, or jump around.

I love Lake Hylia its just so tranquil and relaxing especially the fishing, I could fish for hours just listening to the soothing music.

Also Hyrule Field at the break of dawn when you just hop on Epona and gallop away with the energetic music.

Re: Favourite part in OoT/MM from an artistic standpoint?

Liek, my 0p7ni0n, lolorz.

As for Ocarina of Time, my favorite scene/place (not already mentioned above--those are all good and justifiable answers/opinions) is Zora's Domain. Beautiful--really beautiful. The walkways leading to the shop, the King's quarters, and the jump off the waterfall is gorgeous and an amazing experience.
In Majora's Mask, I'll have to say anything on the third day. With the sinister music playing in the background, and the subdued character movement and voices, along with the menacing sunset seen at the end of the day; well, it's magical.

And Flex187ad--an intelligent and well-constructed thread.
Love.

Ikana was a section of Majora's Mask that had always made an impression on me. The combination of music and setting just made the canyon seem special.

Ikana Canyon was extremely well done, although I loved how the mooon was a tranquill feild with chidren playing on it and a lone tree on the hill in the middle. Total contrast to the sinister outer appearance of the moon, and infact in total contrast to the game as a whole.

Re: Favourite part in OoT/MM from an artistic standpoint?

Three distinct moments stand out to me.

The first being when you beat the game and there is the party followed by the sages up on death mountain. I loved seeing all the characters of the game come together as one entity to celebrate.

The next being at the very end of the game as you replace the master sword and navi leaves you. although it was kind of a blessing (navi annoyed me at times as she did everyone) it was still saad knowing that it wasnt meant for navi to be Links guardian fairy.

Lastly, but definantly my favorite. Right when you win Epona and you ride her out of Lon Lon Ranch for the first time. When i did it i just rode epona for like 5 min and took in the scene and the buety of hyrule. what made it even better was that the sun started to set right within my field of vision so you get this buetiful scene. I suppose what made it stand out was that throught out the game you are constantly bombarded with hardships and you kind of feal sorry for Link but when i was riding epona around im pretty dure that that small triumph amid a world of chaos made the game for me.

My Favourite Part of OOT

Artistically in OOT I loved:

1. Hyrule castle: the outside walls with the drawbridge and torches at night and the scene inside with Zelda and Link when they are little (which by the way made me cry when you saw it for the last time, after all it took me 5 years to complete 00T).

2.The Temple of Time: minimilistic, peaceful and loved the music.

3.The Lake: scary to start with because of its vastness, loved the temple being underwater, how cool!

4. Fairy Fountains: i always took a minute to stop for a breather whilst in the fairy fountains after i'd bottled up especially whilst doing Gannons Tower. Loved the fact the fairies looked like balls of light with wings.

5.The Final Showdown: Escaping from the castle, loved Zelda using her magic to open the doors and the castle falling down around with the fire made it really intense. Loved Zelda being imprisioned in a crystal like the maidens in ALTTP and loved the way you got to give Gannon the final blow yeah!

6.THE ENDING FANTASTIC!

Iam new to this site, sorry if ived bored you but i love zelda games they are the only games i play so please be nice thanx

My Favourites in OOT

1. Hyrule Castle, looking mysterious with its lit torches at night and not being able to get in till morning. Loved the scene with Zelda and Link inside the castle when they are little and love it even more when its repeated (I cryed).

2. Temple Of Time, peaceful, loved the music.

3. The Lake, scary to start with because of its vastness, loved the Temple being underwater how cool!

4. Fairy Fountains, Loved the music, always took a minute to listen to it after i'd bottled up. Loved the fairies in OOT little balls of pink light with wings.

5. The Final Showdown, the castle collasping, Zelda being imprisioned in the crystal like the maidens in ALTTP and the way you get to give Gannon the Final Blow!

Thanx for reading iam new to this site so please be nice even if ive gone off track a little.

Re: Favourite part in OoT/MM from an artistic standpoint?

oh reading some of the other posts reminded me of another one of my favorites

the temple of time...

even though its not moving or emotional it most definantly is fantastic... The music is what got me... it really gave the impression of a sacred, even holy, place...
