Foreigners in Termina?
Im sure a topic similar to this one may have been pointed out before, but I would like to repoint it out if so. Ive noticed in MM The Gorman Troupe has just arrived in clocktown for the carnival performences. Gorman came from Gorman ranch (obviously) But where did his troupe of trobadors come from?
I know for a fact they are not from clocktown because the twin jugglers say otherwise, here is my proof: At night on the first or second day they are in stock pot inn playing cards. If you talk to the one in the red (I believe, it may be blue) he says: "Have you seen the Rosa Twin sisters? Theyre Twins just like us! What are the Odds, Id say about 1 in a million, no wait 4 in a million! hoohoohoo...." There was some more in that little quote, but it just adds to my point that Gorman found and arranged them from somewhere. Here is more proof: If you talk to Marilla (The red rosa twin) at stockpot in before nightime, she mumbles something about: "Maybe I should just blame it on the troupe leader and go back to the village, but Judo wouldnt like it..." What village could they be talking about? Mountain village? I think not, the way the Rosa Twins are dressed seems highly unlikely they are from such a polar climated town. It could be kakariko village, but if it is then that means that Termina and Hyrule exhist on the same globe. I know it isnt too much proof, but its enough to raise a few questions. Where are they from? Is there another Land where Twins come from instead of termina? If so where is it? How do you get there? Is this where the people fleed too? What do you guys think? |

Re: Foreigners in Termina?
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the Rosa Sisters came from Ikhana Village.....
But yes, Clock Town is a big tourist trap, I'm sure pleanty of non Terminans come there for the Carnival.

Re: Foreigners in Termina?
Interesting topic.
Yeah, Ikana village I can imagine... But who knows, it could just be some random village that just isn't in the game really...You know... But about the Mountain Village, it could be possiable, because it was only a winter climate because of the curse on the temple's from Majora remember... But still I find it unlikely they would be from the Mountain Village anyway...:embrsd: Wait....the Rosa sisters didn't make an apperence in OOT did they? I was just wondering, because if they did, then that could be your answer to where they are from..

Re: Foreigners in Termina?
I'm pretty sure they weren't in OoT - and by what they are wearing, they're wearing it in Clock Town, not Mountain Village - it's not like they can't change clothes or anything.. : /

Re: Foreigners in Termina?
Im not saying the rosa sisters dont change clothes (Even though no one apparently does in the game
) But there was also only one house in Ikahna Village, and it was more of a lab then a house.... Only three TERMINIANS (Humans/mortals) live in Ikahna village:The Scientists, His daughter, and Sakon the Thief As for mountain village....well I wouldnt really call it a village, more of a cottage.... Only two people live there: Zubora and Gabooru the blacksmiths The Rosa sisters made no appearence in OoT. (Believe me if you play OoT as much as I did, and Im sure you did youd know the Rosa twins werent in OoT) so that eliminates that theory.... So there must be some foreign land somewhere that we dont know of.... Could it possibly be on the globe? Is it another land in a parallel universe? So many questions left unanswered.... If someone would be so kind to enlighten me and some others on this discussion? |

Re: Foreigners in Termina?
The Stock Pot Inn gets visitors from all over the place during the Festival of Time, and we don't see where many townspeople flee to; they just disappear. There must be more to Termina than we've seen, even though it'd seem most of the world would be set in the area between the lands the giants guard.

Re: Foreigners in Termina?
Not to change the subject slightly, but I may have a little bit of proof that Termina and Hyrule exhist on the same globe.....twins.
Yes its that simple, twins! In MM There are two sets of twins from the Gorman troupe. The quote "What are the odds 1 in a million, no wait make that 4 in a million". Perhaps this is a way of saying that the Twins in Termina have more twins in Hyrule. Like I said this is only diminuative compared to other bits, but thats my 2 cents on the whole deal. As for the other lands, Labrynna and Holodrum, They were only accecible through teleportation from the temple of time. I find it highly unlikely that commoners from clocktown could teleport from land to land, so there must be some other solution.... Unless of course Holodrum and Labrynna are nearby Termina allowing easy access. But I find such a theory to be rather ludacris....However perhaps one of you could ENLIGHTEN me? |

Re: Foreigners in Termina?
I think we're all missing the point that Termina was in danger at the time of Majoras "taking over" So pretty much everywhere was hell. (just like Hyrule in OoT 7 years ahead of time)They propably came from one of the areas but did not realise it had turned into a barrem wasteland, they were still in Clocktown, worrying about their act.

Re: Foreigners in Termina?
they most likly came from a small village that not many people heard of.
also they (depending on the timeline) might of came from one of the islands fro TWW

Re: Foreigners in Termina?
Ok first of all termina and hyrule are on the same planet link came from hyrule on personal business read it on the homepage if you click on MM secondly it is likley they came from hyrule because the other twins did they are in kakariko village by the first tree and thirdly on edmotons theory of TWW that happens way in the future of hyrule so that is ruled out so i guess this sorts out that problem

Quote:
And about Holodrum, and Labrynna being in the same world as Hyrule and Termina... There's a high chance that they are, we haven't heard of other places because there something called the "Ocean" separating them perhaps (If anyone noticed, there are no ships during those times yet, untill WW). And even in WW, they dare not go farther than what they know, I'm pretty sure there's way more islands past that. Last edited by Deathflame; 09-05-2006 at 07:30 PM. |

Re: Foreigners in Termina?
Link doesnt have a parrallel, neither do five of the sages: Rauru, Saria, Darunia, Impa, and Zelda. Ganondorf also has no parrallel, unless you want to argue that its majora.
Back to the topic though, MM came before TWW, because in TWW it states "Before the hero left on another journey he sealed the triforce of courage and split it....yada yada yada you get the idea! |
