Dessert Colussus (Sorry if this has all ready been discussed!!!)

I was just reading the Theory Dan wrote on the whole Stone Tower Temple Theory in MM... And it got me thinking...(maybe a little too much)
In OOT,....doesn't the Dessert Colossus...the huge sculpture of the woman, doesn't it look like with one hand she's flicking everyone off, or is it just me? I've always noticed that and kinda laughed...was that intentional or not? There are other 'profane related' signs in OOT too...it's always been kind of funny to me. Now I know many of you will probably think this is a silly topic... But how do you feel about it? What do you think?

Yes, this is a silly topic.

I don't recall which fingers point out more than others, but that middle finge IS the longest finge on a hand. That may be a reason for it. I don't feel like putting in the Collector's Edition and checking it out, but that would be funny.

I didn't find the Gerudo Goddess obscene, I thought she looked serene, holding up her hands in offering. It seems like the Gerudo hid their greatest treasures in each hand, and conscructed ingenious traps to protect them.

OMG... lol I had never noticed this... at first whe nyou said the desert godess, I automatically thought of the one on the inside of the temple.... & I went i nthere & used my C-Stick too see what you ment & I haden't noticed it... but seeing that picture of the hands up there lol OH my it is a h00t!

Well the Gerudo are pretty defiant of mainstream Hylian culture, and I can imagine their temple giving the rest of Hyrule the finger.

My girlfriend noticed that too. She always sees that perver stuff...

Okay, interesting coincidence, but does any of you really think this was intended to look that way? I do not. In fact, this seems a little silly; look at your hands, people, and if your middle finger isn't the longest, then I am saddened to say that there was a minimal genetical mistake.

Actually, you said what I said earlier in this thread. That finger is the longest on a hand, so it's going to stick out farther. If you want to go on the topic that it was built by the Gerudos, rather than the gamemakers merely made it, then maybe it was intentional.

it doesnt look like its giving the finger because the middle finger has to be extended out more so than the rest of the fingers. and although it is up in the air, it still doesnt look like its giving the "traditional" finger.
plus both hands only have 3 fingers. so it looks more like E.T. holding out his hands.

The fingers are broken from age. The artwork shows full fingers. The goddess there isn't being profane. Where do you come up with this stuff?

As I said, everybody will see what they wanna see. So there's no use fussing 'bout this. We can go on with this for ages, or just close the thread.

Well, it is sort of a joke.. I mean because they broke off (due to aging) they have broken in quite a profane manner... Maybe the statue has been vandalized?

Does anyone think that the Desert Palace in AlltP think that it's the foundations of the Spirit Temple, eroded away by the Great Sea?
