Yeah, now that I played MM over again, there are around four mini-towers in the tower that look rather naughty. If they are what they are, I'm wondering why MM got away with an E rating. Anyway.

Nice theory. I have my doubts, though. I don't know why the mask would be in the temple in the first place. I thought it was a mask that was "Used by tribes in hexing rituals", as the Happy Mask Man stated. Ikana doesn't look like a tribe, but more like a huge empire, reminiscent of the Aztec empire.

Also, I sort of thought that the tower was the Giant's home, since it is a temple, and the other Giants live in those other temples. And the Giants are basically worshipped as deities as well. Oh well. That's just what I thought.

Anyway, very, very nice theory. Ties up alot of stuff there.

The garos were a tribe.
This may be irrelevant but Garo is the name of a real Indian tribe... I think I read that somewhere, on google or something.

I thought the Garos were ninjas that were sent to spy on Ikana...

That's besides the point, though. I claimed that Ikana was not a tribe, not the Garos.

Also, I may have misread, but I didn't see where he said that the Garos were the men that found the mask. They were mentioned later... Oh well. Stayed up all night, so it is very possible I could of misread.

He's the one that gives us those bad thoughts to do bad actions. Well i don't know...forget what i said...Anyway, I've never thought that deep on a game before.

I think the most significant parallel to Christianity is how the relationship between Majora, Skull Kid, and Skull Kid's friends mirrored the relationship between Satan, sinners, and Christ. The other parallels may or may not be intentional, but I think it's extremely likely that this one is, especially because there's a moral to the story ("Forgive your friend") that is a major theme of Christianity.

Spoilers from the latest Twilight Princess trailer (yes, I glanced at it):
A scene from the latest trailer showed an important masked figure whom I'm assuming is Ganondorf, based on his stature and apparent significance. I didn't want to freeze frame the trailer to analyze him, but the detail that really stood out to me when I watched was that the mask depicted a face sticking its tongue out. Is that an allusion to the blasphemy of the Stone Tower and its statues that licked the Triforce? Could Ganondorf be seeking the destruction of the goddesses and/or the Triforce in Twilight Princess? At the least, this detail pretty clearly indicates that the tongue is considered to be obscene, not reverant.

I think there's a chance that content in Twilight Princess will shed some light on the story of Majora's Mask, especially considering that we've already seen this creepy mask. Pay attention to the details as you play it!

But when Link went to save Terminna then would he have been defying the Godesses?

That is a fantastic theory. Ive never really understood that much about the stone tower, and it makes a lot of sense to me. The Majora's mask symbols in twinmolds lair, the link to the lands name, and i cant deny those two towers in the larger stone tower look very phallic. Even if your theory was proved to be false, it would still be awesome.

Hylian Dan, i have read everything you have posted, and i believe your theory. I wouldn't be surprized if everything i have read were true. It all makes sense. I am going to look in the temples in TP in great detail. You are on to something, and your very good at proving it. I only wish there was a way this theory could be confirmed. Until then, im going to accept your theory as fact.
