My OoT review.

By the way, for anyone who has not played OoT recently (the past few months) and is beginning to doubt how good it is. Try playing through it from the start. Even if your bored, keep playing. It will end up becoming momentum and you'll want to keep playing it, like me. By after the forest temple you'll love it again. Go searching for heart pieces, skulltula tokens and just play it through. Don't think that there should be more side-quests or anything just because you've recently been playing MM & TWW.

What I've noticed is that this game was not meant for side-quests. It's few side-quests are the exact perfect amount to go with the short storyline and long dungeons.

What I also noticed was:
Since I hadn't played in months and months. I'd lost 'feel' of my fighting abilities. I got through all the dungeons at a pritty good pace. I got through the storyline at a very quick pace because I was playing it continuously. And because I'm so rusty with the controls (My GC version), each boss was slightly difficult for a minute or two then when I exploited its weak point; such as: The Shadow Temples boss: It killed my 11 hearts out pritty quick, then I got the hang of it and beat it.

They didn't have the technology to make perfectly difficult bosses. I expect to see harder ones in TP, but it's gone together all perfectly for OoT.

I'm going to rate the key elements of this game:

Gameplay: 10/10
Dungeons: 10/10 (Each dungeon had it's own original way of working and puzzle-solving)
Visuals: 10/10 (For a N64)
Side-quests/Mini-games: 10/10 (Intergrated perfectly alongside the main quest but if the main quest hadn't been as important I would have given it about a 6/10)
Weapons/Items: 10/10 (There seemed to be one for every dungeon and each important one; hookshot/longshot, megaton hammer, boomerang, slingshot, fairy bow, Ocarina, magic beans, hover boots, iron boots etc, there seemed to be a perfect use for it.

I've completed this game before on my N64 version, but this time on my GC version I'm completing every bit of the game until I go and beat Ganon's Tower and Ganondorf/Ganon.

Re: My OoT review.

I agreee.

The Forest Temple is love. It's probably one of my favorite Zelda dungeons ever. It's natrual and spiritual, and has gorgy music.

And to be honest, I think the Oracle games have some of the most fiendish Zelda bosses. With OoT bosses it's always: "Use dungeon item when boss displays weak point, then when they're stunned, hammer them with your sword." Queen Gohma was pretty hard when I first fought her, but now, she's pitiful.

Re: My OoT review.

Yeah... I'll always love OOT, it's such an all-around great game! And for it's time, it was amazing what they did with it!!!

I really love the Forest Temple too... something about it, it's always my favorite, along with the Spirit Temple too. But anyway, I haven't played OOT in a while, but I still never lose the sense of how good the game is once you begin playing it again...

Music Sagie, you love my favorite temples too! Hugs.

I still think no game dungeon, has ever managed to look as impressive as the Spirit Temple. It;s just......that giant gerudo goddess......wow.

Re: My OoT review.

Somehow Nintendo made every dungeon in OoT unique.

The forest temple was good, except the Poe sisters were much to easy to kill. I liked it how you could flip some of the rooms over.

The fire temple was also good, I really only liked it because it was easy

The water temple was much shorter, obviously because you have to complete the Ice Cavern before it.

The shadow temple was also very good, good and dark-themed, like the bottom of the well. Good usage of the hover boots too. But they could have made that ship look nicer

I haven't played the Spirit temple in ages, but I'm almost up to it, (going to play later).

MM's four dungeons take on a lot of these unique things, such as the flipping of the dungeon in the 4th temple in MM from the Forest temple in OoT.
But greatly improved in side-quests and searching the land.

But while your continuously playing through OoT, you don't want to stop, its like a book. But if you play a dungeon and complete it on every 3rd or 4th day, its not as enjoyable but still good all the same. The storyline flows swiftly, gameplay is beautiful and the side-quests are enough.
