Need Help In OOT Master Quest. Stuck In Fire Temple

The question that I'm asking is probably one of the simplest that has ever been asked in this forum, but I'm gonna ask it anyway. This is the part of the fire temple that I'm stuck in:



My simple question is *Deep Breath*:

How do I get link onto the ledge so that I can enter the door?

I'm sure that I'm missing a very simple object that I'm supposed to latch onto so that I can get on that ledge. Can someone help me out?

Have you played the Song of Time? I haven't reached the Fire Temple yet, but I think that's what you're supposed to do.

You play the Song of Time in the regular version, but I don't know about MQ. In the normal version, a block will appear for you to climb on to get up there after you play it. But as I said, I don't know about MQ, as I haven't played it (I'd like to, though). Try it anyway.

And this should go in the Gamecube Zelda help thread. Don't make a thread next time. Refer to the help threads. Each Zelda section (besides the General Zelda) has a sticky one at the top of the page.

Oh, and you can also try latching onto the torch. I actually had to do that in a room in the Forest Temple in the regular version to get back up on a platform and it worked.

EDIT: What's with the magic meter in that screenshot, too? It looks all crazy.

A friend used my save file and took the screenshot for me while we were using his pc (My pc was scanning for viruses and it was going very slow). My guess is that he was using the chest codes when he took the screenshot. There's a code to double the magic meter.

Ah, I see. Did any of my suggestions help you? If not, then I don't know what to tell you.

You have to latch on to the torch with the hookshot.

Actually, LZG, MQ is only on GC, so it would go in the Gamecube Zelda help thread. I already said this, so don't repeat it, please.

I figured it out. I lit the torch across the room by mistake and a switch popped up for me to latch onto. I feel very dumb because I've been stuck there for awhile (lol). Thank for the advice guys.
