What ever happend to kokiri forest?

I have been wondering what happend to links home does any one have an explanation and I thought the deku tree dies why is he in ww?

1. Different Link, different home. OoT Link lived in the now mostly flooded kokiri forest. WW Link lives on Outset Island

2. Different Trees. Deku Tree did die, but remember that he was replaced by a Deku Sprout, who might also have been titled "Deku." This sprout may be the tree in WW.

I originally brought up a theory regarding what happened to the Kokiri Forest.

Basically, I thought that the "Forbidden Woods" that the forest people weren't allowed to visit (the island with the vines and monsters all around it) is in fact the Kokiri Village. Inside, you could see the tree-stumps that I believe used to be the homes of the Kokiri. After all, the Kokiri turned into the beings that they are in The Wind Waker.

It does make sense, because obviously the two islands used to be one big island, and the Deku Tree was connected with the Kokiri Village. As you can see, one could have walked from the Deku Tree straight to the Forbidden Woods, like you could from the Kokiri Village to the Deku Tree in OoT.

I might not have described things so good, but I'll explain it further if you wish.

To be honest, I have seen no other mention of this theory anywhere else. I'm sure someone thought of it, but I personally find it genious and obvious at the same time.

Oh so it's a different story every time yet makeing up for mm and oot I see just didn't get that!^^

& you know that the island is a hollowed tree I always thought that the sprought from OoT is the deku tree in WW ( he speaks the ancient Hylian tongue) & the island is a tree. meaning that the deku tree from oot is the island & the sprought is living in the old deku tree :S

I was super sad knowing Kokiri Forest got flooded........wah!

And some people believe the Forbidden Woods is the rotting, cursed hulk of the old Deku Tree.

i think that the deku tree raised up the Kokiri forest when the sea rose, creating Forest Haven or wotevr it's called, but the lost woods stayed flooded under 2000 ft of water.

it makes sense coz the rito r the evolved zora (i think jabu-jabu changed them to stop them from going back to hyrule) and they luve on death mountain, and in the relative postioning of the forest and mountain then the castle town would be windfall island, either that ot kakariko, considering the windmill

Now that I think about it, it does make sense the Forbidden Woods being the ruins of the Kokiri Forest....perhaps Ganon cursed it, and the Koroks changed from the Kokiri as a result?

You are forgetting a big temple in WW... the forbidden woods.... That can be a part of the lost woods.... either that ot that sacred wood hallow (or what ever it is called)

As the King of Red Lions states, the Link in TWW isn't related to the OOT/MM Link.

I always believed the Forbidden Woods used to be Kokiri Forest, because of all the houses like other people have said. I made a topic on this subject ages ago.

btw, as far as i no none of the links are direct descendants of one another, especially not of the OoT/MM link, coz he got trapped in termina, tho the zeldas, obviously, would all have to be somewehere in the hyrule royal lineage

Forest haven is a giant hollowed out tree trunk. maybe the deku tree sprout dead. I think the Deku tree in WW is the 3rd Deku tree.

Forest Haven could be the remains of the origanal Great Deku Tree. and the Deku tree that is inside Forest Haven is the 3rd Deku Tree
