OOT Ending
In the end cutscene in OOt, I noticed a few out of place things.
For one, the Gerudo were in Lon Lon Ranch celebrating with everybody else. In my previous thread Ganondorf's Followers, people argued that Ganondorf's followers are Gerudos and monsters. If the Gerudo follow Ganondorf, why are they celebrating his demise. Second, there are Kokiri in Lon Lon Ranch. It is said that if the Kokiri leave the forest, they will die. How can they leave the forest then and not any other time? Were they just afraid of Ganondorf? P.S. Sorry if this has been posted before.

Re: OOT Ending
I have a theory about the Kokiri. I think that so long as they stay in the Forest, they will never age, thus living forever. But if they go out of the Forest, they will begin to age and will eventually die. I don't think they ment that the Kokiri just die on the spot after leaving the Forest. As for the Gerudo, I have no expaination for that.

Re: OOT Ending
Hehehe... nicely observed. Perhaps the deku tree knew they would die outside because of ganondorf and told them so. Wait, i recall the deku tree in the beginning of OoT saying teh forest worked as a barrier. Perhaps one thing has to do with another?

Re: OOT Ending
The Kokiri might have been in danger from Ganondorf, quite a big possibilty. As for the gerudos, this'll take some thinking. Maybe they decided that Ganondorf was evil and deserved death while Link was fighting him? I don't know, this is a tough one...

Re: OOT Ending
Well, perhaps not ALL the Gerudos were sided with Ganondorf. Nabooru was agaisnt him and she had a lot of influence over the race. perhaps the gerudo felt they were free once ganondorf had been killed. Or they realized what kinda thing ganodorf truly was once he transformed in a pig-like devil creature
Ye see. there are a few possibilities.

Re: OOT Ending
It's funny you mention that about the Kokiri. I don't think I'd thought of it that way before-- the "if you leave, you'll begin to age and then die" thing.
I have yet to shape the reasons, but for my own purposes in fanfic and such, the Kokiri were always told that in order to keep them there. The Zelda world places a great amount of importance in fulfilling destiny and preserving the rightful order of things. What I don't know, however, is who would decide that the rightful place of the Kokiri is to be bound to the forest, nor what the purpose of that would be. Perhaps it was the Deku Tree's way of protecting them, in any case. |

Re: OOT Ending
I don't think that the Gerudo chose to worship Ganondorf. It was the Gerudo law. Nabooru was more open-minded though. Ganondorf is supposed to be King of the Gerudo no matter what. So, some Gerudo probably followed Ganon's orders no matter if he was evil or not (to uphold the Gerudo law); while others, such as Nabooru, were brainwashed to follow Ganon. Twinrova was most likely brainwashing other Gerudo who wouldn't follow Ganondorf.

It may also have been possible that the entire Gerudo society was brainwashed into doing Ganon's will. Either way, the Gerudo people were brainwashed (whether it was the whole tribe or just Gerudo who didn't follow Ganon). As for the Kokiri, I concur with Xel.

Re: OOT Ending
If the Gerudos were brainwashed by Ganondorf, wouldn't they know that Link is in opposition to Ganondorf? I guess Ganondorf did say that he let Link run free, but wouldn't they try to protect Ganondorf if they were brainwashed in any way possible?

Re: OOT Ending
We don't know what Ganondorf (or Twinrova; whoever) brainwashed the Gerudo to do. It seems they were just brainwashed to obey Ganon's orders (or like I said; Twinrova). It could have been anything. Like I said, it all depends on the orders Ganondorf gave. Maybe they weren't told to look out for the Hero of Time due to the fact of what you said. That Ganondorf wanted to let Link run around. There could be an infinite amount of reasons (but we don't know what Ganondorf or Twinrova are thinking throughout the whole game).

This is exactly what I was thinking.. Now remember in the field its only the White Pants Gerudo's... The same color as Nabooru is wearing, Maybe its like a ode or something, the Purple ones are no where to be seen in the celebration! so in conclusion. Whitepants = Suporters of Nabooru Purple Pants = mean Beotches.... Followersof Ganondorf!

Re: OOT Ending
Maybe if the kokiris leave the forest, then they will evolve slowly into something(koroks?). Just like they evolve when they're lost in the lost woods.

That is an interesting concept... I mean lets disect this for a second..... The Deku tree protects the Kokiri, to prevent them from Death, & Aging... NOW this would also cover evoloution correct? NOW, with the flooding of Hyrule, & magically the deku tree up lifted & floted up..before that could happen the Kokiri had to flee to a mountain. THUS leaving the Deku tree's guard.. when they left they started to change to the enviroment. thus changing into Kokrok's!
