OOT Master quest

How many people think that the OOT master quest was easy and should have been made harder than the first one

Re: OOT Master quest

I was disappointed that the enemies weren't more difficult and that the new puzzles were so obvious.

But, of course it's going to be easier. You already know how to fight the enemies.

Re: OOT Master quest

This is the first I've heard about master quest. Is it on N64?

Re: OOT Master quest

it was released as a promo disk, if I remember correctly you recieved it when you purchased WW when it first came out. It had OoT and OoT:MQ so you could play both on GC. If I got that wrong, somebody please correct me. Personally, I don't necessarily think it was any easier or harder, but I appreciated the reworked dungeons, they provided a new challenge. I especially liked the new Water Temple, it was alot more streamlined and not lots of random running around and changing the water level a million times like the original.

Re: OOT Master quest

Bah, I was expecting a whole lot of different puzzles and what not, but they just changed around some of the dungeons. Oh well, it was still fun though. OoT always is fun to play anyways. :3 I beat it just the same as regular OoT.

The water temple made me want to eat my young though.

Re: OOT Master quest

The only bastard in the MQ (for me) was the Spirit Temple. There was a few puzzles that had me stumped for a good while. I wouldn't go so far as to say the MQ was easy, because if you play it then more than likely, you've already achieved a decent level of play on the original game.

Re: OOT Master quest

Well, MQ isn't super hard, but it does have more of a challenge in parts than OOT. But i'm used to OOT, so that isn't much of a challenge anymore.

They could have made MQ harder by seriously messing with the way you have to get to the dungeons e.g. make the climb up Death Mountain more dangerous, don't give you a water tunic until you get into the water temple. And of course, they could have made the enemies and bosses harder by changing their attack patterns

Re: OOT Master quest

It isn't too hard but it isn't too easy either. I think they should have done a bit more to make it harder, some of the castles were quite annoying, actually. For example, Lord Jabu Jabu. What's with the cows? Seems that it was done quite cheap... But I don't complain, it was ok at most of the parts.

Re: OOT Master quest

I liked the cows, it made it interesting...finally, an actual outcome to attacking cows senselessly...

Re: OOT Master quest

Har... N00bs would not see this the same. If they play Master quest 1st, they might find the original harder or easier.
