gorons

this thread is sort of like a timeline for gorons. I think they came from rocks. I have some things to prove it, (this is from off the internet and if anyone wants to use this website here it is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kokiri#Goronsit is very useful)
Gorons are also resistant to heat, to the point of being able to walk through lava. Well, rocks are made of lava, and are also extremely resistant to heat.

Gorons are somehow all male, they some how mate with the rocks and more Gorons are created, giving the Gorons an all male population. Mating with rocks, it's hard to say, but it's connected, mating with rock, were once rocks. something like that.

Just post you thoughts for a timeline for the gorons.

Re: gorons

Mating with rocks!? Um, for some reason I don't believe that. And just because We haven't seen any females doesen't mean there aren't any.( maybe some are female but they all look the same)

Gorons... so what. They are resistant to heat and are very stronge. Point made? Born from rock... maybe.

If you want an ideal timeline for Gorons you should show us one if you feel inspired for one, then do so. I would look at Hyrules' Gorons first, then the Holodrum and Labyrinia Gorons' history. See what YOU can come up with.

A Goron banging on a rock for reproduction? Thats rather weird. Kind of perverted if you ask me. The Gorons must realy hate sex if you think about it. It must get rough around the edges. lol.

I realy don't see the theory in all of this. The only timeline for Gorons are known in OoT. The Gorons making the Megaton Hammer to defeat Volvagia and then Darunia becoming the descendant of that legendary Goron Hero. That is the only ancient Goron history directly prevelent. In OoA they have a timeline but I don't know much about their history. Something about the Goron keeping traditions on certain games, customs, and dances but not much to look at.

The Gorons are remotely not inteligent as the other races and they don't have THAT interesting of a history if you ask me. The dragon incident in the old ages before OoT probably is the most half exciting bit of history that we know of that the Gorons were involved in. All the stuff from OoA and OoS is pretty boring meaningless history once you look into it. Could be that the two tribes are connected in some way since they bare the same Goron symbol. However their are different Goron Tribes that don't bare the Goron mark, like the Goron in the TP trailure. Perhaps that signifies intresting history in another alien tribe that may have moved into Hyrule after OoT. Other than that, I guess I could care less about the Gorons. Now the Sheika, Geredo, and Kokiri are races to look into history about.

Re: gorons

The idgit forgot to add that there are feminine-looking Gorons in the OoT Manga (I KNOW IT'S NOT CANON!)

In the "SpiderWick Chronicles" (a book series I own, it deals with mythological creatures), Dwarves are 'born' by being chisled from rock (like statues). How's this apply? Think about it:

Hylians-Elves
Kokiri-Fairy (Could also be Dryads)
Fairies-Sprites (Could also be Pixies)
Zora-Mer-people (Could also be Nixies, Look up the "Spiderwick Chronicles")
Gerudo-Amazons
Sheikah-Dark Elves
Gorons-Dwarves

This is, I'll admit, pure speculation, but it is easier to talk about their lifestyles if you think of their mythological 'roots.'

That idgit!

Anyway, its still a wild speculation to assume that Gorons mate with random rocks all over the place. That means that the whole world could get infested with Gorons! Stupid Gorons banging rocks everywhere they go. Just who the hell do they think they are anyway. Pimp-Rocking-Rocker- Gorons... Looks like a new hunting season will be issued this year, and it ain't bear season.

I'm sorry if I'm being too facetious here guys. But come on! Rocks?! Now that is just hilarious and wrong at the same time! I hate it when people make theories about people or other races mating. I'm not imature with the whole concept of reproduction, but rocks! Come on!

THAT explains why those pictures are on the wall. And all this time I thought it was for the decor...

That is so wrong. They might as well be wall-like pole dancers then if Gorons do mate with just random rock. This theory is so perverted.

Goron pole dancers... only painted upon walls. If you look at the Gorons their doing a dance like routine. I mean't it to be funny since you brought up the paintings! Their images show them dancing!

Re: gorons

This thread has gone far enough on THAT concept. I feel sorry for the guy that made this thread. Seriously. I think he wanted us to make a timeline for different Goron races out their in the world of Hyrule. But we got carried away with the rock ordeal. We should probably get serious now. Sorry to brake it to you all.

I should no better than this. Oh well, I didn't hurt anyone. At least I think I didn't......

Re: gorons

As I see it, there are TWO and only TWO possibilties:

One, males and females look the same. Quoted by Gimli in "The Two Towers," "Dwarf Women are so alike in appearance and speech, that they have been mistaken for Dwarf Men. Now this has given rise to the belief that there are no Dwarf Women, and that we just 'spring up out of the ground!'"

Two, they are carved from stone like the dwarves in the Spiderwick Chronicles.

it's not an asumtion, i found it by research on the internet. also (if this is a response to mine) i never said that they mate all over the world. they really are only on death mountain.

Re: gorons

OK mating with rocks would be impossible wouldnt it? After all they are just rocks with no organs, let alone reproductive(sp) ones.

Also you might want to post a link to the site where you got your information from. Because if it was from a fan made site it is possible that its wrong, i mean the only website i will really trust with the history of Hyrule and the races is if it is on the official Zelda website or on Nintendos.

but really? just because they dont look like females doesnt mean there arnt any.

but yea, mating with rocks is a bit... out there.
