How was Epona in MM?

Um... I've thought of this for a very long time. Sorry if this is already posted.
If Epona was returned in OOT, how does he have it in MM? Just curious what people think or know about this.

I think that Epona is in it simply because he asked for Epona before he went on his journey. That's all I got. Replies?

That's more or less true. Though Link must have done something reeeal special for Malon to let him keep Epona.

Yeah, I think it is pretty obvious that somehow he went there as a child again, befriended Malon, Epona seemed to like him, and so she let Link have Epona. She seems like a nice enough girl to "hand" Epona over, if she can see she'd be well looked after.

I think it was because the 2 versions of Malon was at the ranch in MM :confused:
Or because Malon and Talon were related to Cremia and ....what's the teenager's name again?

Either way,It's still a mystery!

Truthfully, I don't think he gave her back. There was no promiss between Link and the ranch hands.

I'm still a little confusd how epona got to that other ranch in termina, but i always have a theory-
Link brought Epona with him, since Malon thought that he would take good care of her anyway. Anyway, when Link chased after Skull Kid in the beginning, the ranch found Epona and broguth her to the ranch. I just answered my own question didn't I?

I think that Malon gave Epona to Link because he told her about his journey so he let and or have Epona so that he wouldn't have to walk all the way. plus that would get really anouying if you think about it

We con not know how she was in it. We only know that she was. We can only theorize on how she was in it. Unless Nintendo says something about it.

But unless we theorise, there would be nothing to discuss on these forums.

Personally, I wouldn't go as to far to develop complex theories about the simple matter. I'll just assume that Link retreived Epona and went to do to his little thing. *shrug*

well when link returend to his childhood he probably already knew her (cuz he knew about what he did in the future), and to prove it, then think back to the end of oot... *spoiler* when link visits zelda... i wonder if link did something like that to pick up epona.. and i think mm is based like 1 or 2 years after oot (when he was a kid).. well yeah thats as far as i think on that.

Per haps its just because Link still new her song and Epona remebered him and she just came to him its a few years or so betwen OoT and MM i think so Link would have time to get a few things before heading off to Termania.

I think that Malon would have let Link have Epona, she knew he was trustworthy. Also, Malon says in OoT something like "She's grown fond of you, fairy boy!" Naturally, Epona would have wanted to come along with Link on his journey.

After Skull Kid steals Epona and rides her away in MM, he said he didn't like the horse, and 'got rid of it'. I can only assume he sold the horse to Romani Ranch for a lot of Rupees, or he just abandoned the horse and the ranch found it.

Link stole it. Just like he stole the Triforce. Har Har Har

I think he asked Malon nicely and she said yes because she (like all the other girls in OoT) is madly in love with Link. I don't think she really knew that he was leaving for good! Oh well!

Well, i don't think Malon would just give her most favorite horse to anyone, so i think it went like this:

(Lon-Lon Ranch)
Link: Hey, Malon!
Malon: Hi, Fairy-boy!
Link: So um...how's Epona?
Malon: She's doing fine. She seems to be really fond of you.
Link: Malon? Is it okay if i borrowed her for a little while?
(At this Malon ignites her Lightsaber and dones Jedi robes and attacks Link)

Basically i think he just asked her about Epona and after a while, Malon gave Epona to him.

Where does it say that he returned Epona? When he went back to his original time, at that point in the timescale, he had befriended the horse, and the entire ranch. It might not have been very hard to, before he left to go find Navi, trendle on down to the 'ol ranch and request to borrow her for a few days, now would it? It's really not that complicated.

I know. It's just that i usually think Malon wouldn't just give up her favorite horse that easily, but yeah, it's quite simple for Link to just go to Malon and ask to borrow Epona for a few days to a month or two.
