In Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask! Heh...heh...heh...I crack myself up. In the games, if you see Navi or Tatl fly to a point and shine green for no obvious reason, try your scarecrow song.

Re: the Scarecrow's Song

Yep, do what Daphnes said, and a Scarcrow will hopefully pop up. Then, just Hook/Long Shot to him.

You can get to the forest temple easier at the beggining of the sacred forest meadow. You can also get to the fishing pond without beating the water temple first

Re: the Scarecrow's Song

I know you can use it in Death Mountain Crater where those rupees are. You can use it in the fire temple where those boulders are rolling all over the place, and at Lake Hylia close to the fishing pond. There are others, I know, but I haven't used 'em yet. Just play it when Navi/Tatl flies to a place that you can't reach originally.

Re: the Scarecrow's Song

The Fire Temple. You use it in the massive room with all the boulders rolling around. Go on the top floor of that room and wander around until navi turns green and hovers by something in the distance. Play it there and then longshot your way up. You'll find 2 gold skulltulas up there.
This is the only place in the game where playing the scarecrow's song results in getting something other than just rupees.

Re: the Scarecrow's Song

You can use it in Dodongo's Cavern, in the first hallway you explored as a kid. There's a niche up on the left in an area between the sets of baby Dodongo attacks. There's a gold skulltula spider up there (one of two that only Adult Link can reach). In the Shadow Temple are two more places to use it. Before playing Zelda's Lullaby on the ship, you can reach the Recovery Hearts up high near another gold spider. You need the Longshot, even if all you want is the spider token (but you don't need the scarecrow just for that). Later, after you cross the toppled statue, more Recovery Hearts can be reached with Pierre after creating a Time Block to stand on first. There's also a place in the Statue Room of the Gerudo Training Ground, if you want to waste your time getting the useless Ice Arrow.
