Question About the Timline of the Legend of Zelda Games

this might sound stupid but i need to know the answer to this question:

Is the Link that they always refer to in the Zelda games as the hero who destroyed evil (such as Wind Waker, Minish Cap, and maybe even Twilight Princess)is that the Link that you play as in OoT???me and my brother have been wondering about this and need to know the answer.

My next questin is and it might sound stupid is:

In the The Legend of Zelda:MM is that the same link as in OoT???

it would be a really great thing and help if you can answer these questions for me

Thanks

Re: Question About the Timline of the Legend of Zelda Games

There are Links in different games that are the same, (eg: OoT and MM) but there are also Links in different Zelda games that are different (eg: Alttp and WW)... confused more? Good my job here is done *flies away*

Yeah, the Zelda timeline is (in my opnion) probably going to be confusing until the last game. (Which I hope will never come)

OoT is MM link and they are different links so it really confusses the timeline.

Re: Question About the Timline of the Legend of Zelda Games

The timeline is confusing because most people say that OoT is the first one yet in it people say he is just like the Legendary hero so there could be prequels coming along!

And yes in OoT and MM the it is the same Link and Epona and Ocarina of Time!

Re: Question About the Timline of the Legend of Zelda Games

To be honest, there is always an 'official' timeline, stated by the leader's of Nintendo, to out everyone right, but then they bring out a new Zelda game that mucks the whole thing up, Like the effect the TP had on the series.

To be honest, I find it easier to make up my own timeline, and use other means to explain the Links ofthe series!

Re: Question About the Timline of the Legend of Zelda Games

basically - the link from ocarina of time, in the end, returns to his young self, then gets transported for some reason or another, to termina. OoT link and MM link ARE THE SAME LINK.

WW link is a different link - they all remember the link from OoT and MM as "the hero of time". he's just a legend, as you find out when you go down to hyrule and see a big statue of him.

Yeah, Oot and MM Link are essentailly the same green tuniced fairy kid we all love. But I'm still not too sure about the contuinty placement of the Gameboy Zeldas.

Re: Question About the Timline of the Legend of Zelda Games

I'm pretty sure that OoT will always be the first in the timeline. I don't think they can put one before it and have Link.

I definitely don't think that's a stupid question....but out of my opinion...I think i can answer that one ....ok....i'd say that there's only 1 link.....and 1 link only!.....he's just in different places....and all that other good stuff......and it's the same link in mm and oot......cause as far as the story goes.....in mm at the beginnning, he had fled from hyrule...where he was called a "legend"...and found himself in the place "termina".
u know....just one thing after another, so they can make more games to add to it i guess. ( which is perfectly fine with me. )....................even though you said the question's already been cleared up....i just thought i'd put my opinion in to!
