In OoT when Zelda finally reveals herself to you she says that the Master Sword imprisoning Links spirit for 7 years was unexpected. If it hadn't of done this Link would have gotten the Triforce and Ganondorf would have been defeated easily with a super powered Link!
Do you think Link was too young too get the Triforce and that's why he was imprisoned or do you think there could be something more sinister in the Master Sword that wanted Ganondorf to claim it?

Re: Was it the Master Swords fault? *spoilers*
But what about the Link in Ww? Is'nt he about the same age as young Link in Oot? So then why did the Master Sword keep Oot Link back seven years, but not the Link in Ww?
Yeah!! My 100th post! I will be having a party in room 204. All hobbits are invited!!! ![]()

Re: Was it the Master Swords fault? *spoilers*
well first of all the reason Link was kept asleep for 7 years was to protect him from Ganondorf who entered the sacred realm right after Link. Secondly TWW I think the whole game was a mistake from many standpoints (not to say its a bad game it just isn't up to standard zelda quality). But if you look to previous Zeldas (NES SNES) the master sword doesn't make Link grow up. Its all a matter of when the hero is needed and all that stuff.

Re: Was it the Master Swords fault? *spoilers*
The Master Sword sealed away Link because he didnīt have the age or power to overcome Ganon. Remember their encounter at the gates? Ganon could have easily taken care of Link. So even if Link had not been sealed by the Master Sword, he probably didnīt even had the slightest chance at the moment of preventing Ganon from laying hands on the Triforce. Thatīs why he was sealed, so he could become a formidable adversary for the King of Evil.

Re: Was it the Master Swords fault? *spoilers*
Don't forget, even if Link had been allowed to enter the Sacred Realm, according to the Sheikah legend, one must still have Power, Wisdom and Courage in balance in order to control the power of the gods. It's impossible to say whether Link had those 3 forces in balance in his own heart, so the Triforce could still have split anyway.
But power may have been destined to enter a different individual. It was only because Ganondorf actually touched the Triforce that he absorbed Power, because that was the force he most believed in. The effect that the triforce piece has over him (turns him into the king of evil) is probably evidence that it was destined to go into someone else who could handle it. The question is: who? Back on topic: No the sword itself had no evil intent. As Zelda put it, it was simply an "unfortunate coincidence."
