Ocarina of Time Beta Quest

Okay, here it goes,

You've all seen it and I was wondering how to do it.
Yesterday I bought a GameShark, for this trick, and Everytime I put OoT on the GameShark, It doesn't work.
It says "ZELDA" When I pull up a code list. I put the codes in but when I put the Zelda cart on the GameShark cart it won't work.

Is it only me?
My friend also has this problem, do I need a special GameShark or the special gold car OoT?
Whatever, please help.

There are 3 different versions of the game, make sure your codes are for your version.

Alright. Keycodes were put into games to lock them and have them not accessable by gameshark. There are certain versions of the GameShark that can crack out the keycodes and they have a keycode option on the front menu. How to use them is put in any game with gameshark, go to the keycodes menu, select the Zelda one, turn off your system, put in Zelda with the gameshark. Then it should work.

Well, this GameShark is a bit** so, I'm gonna take it back to blockbuster,
It was used, so it's probably screwed, I have to continually screw with it to get it to even turn on.....

Is there an Action Replay for the 64?
And if there is is it possible to unlock beta quest?

If you go to eeggs.com and go to computers > games > Zelda 64 > Play the Beta Quest then it gives a good description of the differences in the kind of cartridge you need, the type of gameshark you need, and also a good description of the differences in the games. Also it gives the Gameshark codes. I havn't tried it yet beacuse I can't find the right version of the gameshark. This might also be your problem.

gamesharks are stupid and unreliable..if you want to do beta stuff i recomend a n64 rom/emulator for OoT. But i cant provide links or anything seein how it is illegal.
