i think im gonna kill myself!!! stupid MM!

this game is starting to piss me off! i've got up to where you're at the scarecrow part, (clocktown) which he dances and it already becomes the final day?! so then i have not much time to do other stuff..and so i have to start all over again.....and how do i save?????????? grrrrrrrr

You save by going back in time to the first day. Or you can do a quick save at an Owl statue, but then you can't continue playing without that save file being lost.

And stop talking to the Scarecrow then. He'll just send you forward in time.

As Lioness said you have the option to save every time you play the song of time and go back in time, and just don't talk to the scarecrow, there is very little reason to.

ok well i've hot past that, but this saving is realy confusing me.
theres the owl as you've said that makes you save a quit, and there's the other that saves and goes back in time....but when you do this you loose all your item quantities. isn't there a way that you can save and just continue playing?? why can;t there be saving that saves everything and makes you continue?! agghh confused again

Well, you can save at the owl, quit, and then just start the file again and you'll be right in the same place...

Everytime you use the ocarina to go back in time, you lose some of your items. If you don't want to lose your rupees, you have to go to the bank in Clock Town and deposit all of your money there.
Other itmes like bombs and arrows, you can't do anything about that. You will lose them everytime when you go back in time.

oh ok, what about pieces of hearts? are they the same as losing bombs, arrows etc.?

No, pieces of heart and all such important items are still with you as you go back. It's only those kinds of items that you can get easily by killing enemies and stuff that go away. Oh, and beans.

Yeah, and you also lose all dungeon keys, including boss keys. And all the puzzles inside the dungeons go back to their original state.

Umm... That's it, I guess.

Well,they could have at least make it so you could save,and be at the same time same place! Because when you lose to a boss,you have to start the temple all over again! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

ahh cool...well it would suck alot if time ran out when you're deafeating the boss sooooooo stupid..they should have the same save as on OoT

The save file for MM is large enough without it addign what day it is, who you've helped, how far in a dungeon you are, where you are, how many items you have, and how much health you have. Besides, after you beat a boss you get a warp to it's lair so that you can fight it right away. You can also warp with Owl statues, slow down time etc. In reality 72 minutes (144 if you slow down time) is more then enough time to get to and beat a dungeon.

Oh, & make sure to strike every owl statue you find, that way, when you go back in time and everything resets, you can just warp right to an owl statue instead of going through the same crap over and over again.

Well, maybe unless you're trying to find all the stray fairies before beating the boss... I don't know, I always got them after I beat the dungeon.

Umm, you do know saving at an Owl statue does exactly that, right?

My tip for you, gerudo_dude, is this: "don't be shy; it's okay to make mistakes". Besides you can't do an entire chapter in one go, i.e: woodfall problem. For the temples, go to Dawn of the First Day, and then play the Inverted Song of Time (Song of Time backwards; this slows down time). Then go out in Termina Field, and get supplies. When you see it fit that you have enough stuff, play the Song of Soaring to warp to the Owl Statue nearest the temple you're trying to beat. (It's best, though, to ACTIVATE it first!) If the save system was any other way then you'd be able to cheat by saving whenever you want and if you run out of time being able to press reset and pick up where you left off.
