Re: OoT 5:04 video

Wow 5 hours and 4 minutes! Is that the fastest time to date? I wonder how people find how to do this (yes I know, find shortcuts....but not using passwords/cheats mind you)?

Re: OoT 5:04 video

I can't download it and view it, because I don't have codec installed. Anyway, what's the point? Unless the person doing it is going to send it in to the Guiness Book of World Records, there really is no point.

Re: OoT 5:04 video

Too bad you didn't get under the five hour mark; from what I've read, you were really pushing for that. Just a quick question, though. I saw your previous video, and it was good. I don't really want to sit through it again, though, despite the shorter time. Are there any real improvements to your technique? New routes? New shortcuts? I'll probably download it if I can see something new here and there.

Re: OoT 5:04 video

I wouldn't be surprized if there's going to be a time competition (like this one) for the upcoming Zelda'05 (now that I think of it...isn't there a record for each Zelda game?). I would like to watch it, but I'm on a shared network that my college set me up with. I'm pretty sure they didn't give me nearly enough to download your whole library of files. Sorry dude, but keep up the good work.

Re: OoT 5:04 video

Time competitions? Reminds me of the Quake Done Quick demos I've watched in the past. Never actually timed how long I can do it, but I can beat it pretty quick now. My controllers unfortunately are starting to wear out on me though so I don't play it as much.

Re: OoT 5:04 video

Nice, really nice. How many attemps did it take you to get OOT done in this amount of time.

I could try and do that, it would take me years to get that good.

True, but I don't think anyone can be such an expert at the game so fast. How many years has it been since OoT been out? About 6-7 years? And look at us now. For every game that's created, there's always someone who plays the game in it's entirty(sp?) and tries to show how fast he/she has beaten it (well after playing the game soo many times and help create it (I bet), they know every knook and cranny that happens throughout the game without making a mistake).

Plus, when it comes to walkthroughs, I personally like the information typed and printed out. Instead of trying to compete myself with the video. I sometimes use walkthroughs (and/or ask for help) for games, but I usually like to play it on my own.

Re: OoT 5:04 video

I can´t watch those videos (having some problems with playing them) but it sounds incredible. How about completing MM next, without playing the Song of Time even once, not including the part in the beginning where you have to play it? Or have you done that already?

Re: OoT 5:04 video

Just watched the Kokiri Forest and Deku Tree segment, and all I can say to express what I'm feeling is wow. I'm afraid to look further because I might lose my jaw!

You need to get Divx 5.0 from www.divx.com

It's in the downloads - Divx 5.0 Player I believe.
