Gerudo Valley Entrance?

Alright... I am assuming to get into Gerudo Valley, you use the hook shot. However, I cannot get over. Do I have to wait until I get the long shot? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks a million!

Ride Epona to the broken bridge... She'll just it.

Yeah, you can either win Epona from Ingo, or wait until you get through the Water Temple and you get the Longshot.

Isn't it amazing how Epona can jump that gaping canyon!? I usually win Epona before I do the Forest Temple and then do as much of the trading sequence as possible. So, if you need to get across the fastest way is via Epona, forget the hookshot method!

I remember jumping over that bridge Dozens of times because of the amazing cut scene

Yeah, but why would you wanna do that when you can get the cool cut-scene with Epona?

Also, the jump is rather silly, it defies the laws of physics. Then again, it is a game.

well maybe the way you have to set it up it is, because theres that sudden drop before you jump and you havent got much space to prepare for the jump... but if the conditions were right it think she could do it... GO EPONA!

The first time i entered the Valley, i used the Longshot to get over the bridge, but on the GCN version, i used Epona to get over the bridge in the Valley.

Both ways are successful.

If you think a horse can jump a 30-foot gap, then you are seriously mistaken.

You can do it both way but it more fun whit espona.

since Link is about 6 ft. high that is about a 30 ft. gap. Also, Epona seems to jump up about 10 ft. Unless Epona has invisable wings it wouldn't be possable.

So? If we used the idea that "it's just a game" (or cartoon) then we can explain anything and about 1/2 of the meaningful Zelda discussion goes down the drain, besides, it's just fun to point out that we have hear a horse who can jump 10 ft. up and 30 ft. across in one leap.

I alwasy thought that jump was really unrealilistic. Partially because the rest of the game is wonderful and sooo realilistic. I just hate that scene. It makes no sense that they couldnt not make epona be able to jump it because everything else in the game is proportional and as SearonX said taht a horse could not jump 30 feet. So really i dont really like it. But thts just my opinion

Now:

If Epona's limbs consisted of 97% muscle mass, had a running start, had a ramp, and had her Wheaties for breakfast, I think she (gender) could make it with Link.

I also like how Navi is left behind temporarily in the jump.
