That, and the fact that both Romani and Cremia can't exist as two seperate people in Hyrule. That's one of the differences.

I don't know if this would count as a connection but when you walk outside of East Clock Town and you go towards the pillars leading to Ikana Valley they have triforces on them, I always thought that was weird

Though Termina is an "alternate dimension", I think its just a cheap way of saying, "we didn't want to make too many new models for the game, so we just re-used exsisting ones". heh

Hyrule is the "main land" that the Zelda series takes place in. Other games take place in different lands, though Majora's Mask is an alternate dimension to Hyrule. Therefore, many of the characters in the previous game are present (though often in different roles and somewhat different personalities).

I have two theories about the relationship between Terminia and Hyrule. The first one is that it is a parallel Universe that Link has traveled into. This seems to be the most common theorie. My second Idea which is a little far fetched is that it doesn't exist, it's all in Link's head. Let me explain. Link was traveling in the lost forest, and they say one who stays in the lost forest to long will become a skull kid. How does that process work? I belive he was going a little bit crazy and the skull kid was messing with him a little bit. It would explain why many of the charecters were from OoT. Maybe I am just thinking too much, but if you belive that lots of things would make sense and theories would arise from it.
Thank you.

My theory about Termina is based on the description that used to be at zelda.com, even though I know their theories weren't at all official. In the Majora's Mask description they said when the goddesses created Hyrule some of their power leaked out and accidentally created many alternate dimensions, one of which was Termina. From here I believe that the ancient tribe of Termina that built the Stone Tower learned that the goddesses created them by accident, perhaps when some person stumbled into Hyrule. That offended them greatly, so the grosteque statues they made holding the Triforce are intended as a form of blasphemy to mock the gods.

I think they are on the same planet, that is why there are the same species such as Zora, Goron, Deku Scrub etc.....Just the thing Link went through while chasing Skull Kid was a portal that warped him from one place to another.

And yet none of them Know of the Triforce, or Hyrule, Look like people from Hyrule (the country, not the world.) and such, no tWW, MM, and various Nintendo sources have confirmed that it takes place in an alternate dimension.

I dunno... I guess that Clock Tower is roughly in the same place as Lon Lon Ranch (center). I guess Hyrule just morphs into Termina for the person who switches universes.

hehe-I'm cr*p at theories!

Re: Story connections btween OoT and MM?

Termina is basically a parallel alternate dimension to Hyrule. Many of the people are the same, but renamed. As for the location, it's basically Link falling through a vortex. Could Termina be Hyrule in the distant future, after the Great Sea, or Hyrule in the past? No one really knows. Well, I have no I idea how this could help, but "termina" is the spanish word for "end" and words like "terminal" in english also mean the endpoint of something. Could this be a clue?

I like Linklonghair's theory.. little more original than "alternate dimentions" cause that seems to be used to explain anything. And besides..It's just all around better.

an entire thing in Link's head could explain anything, much more so then a paralel dimension, how is it all around better? It would be exactly the same, only harder to beleive as Nintendo has stated that it is a parallel dimension and we have yet to see anything ot contradict them, where as there is absolutly nothing ot say that it is all in his head.

Re: Story connections btween OoT and MM?

Most of the parallel Universe stuff makes a good anount of sence.I already know that many of the same characters were used in both OoT and MM(diff names and stuff), which that theory some-waht explains. But i still haven't beat OoT(keep getting stuck in the dang water temple), so i don't know how Link really got to Termina in the first place, other then what i can remember from the beginning of MM.
