Question about N64 Expansion?

I read somewhere that there was going to be a Nintendo 64 Expansion called the N64 DD (Disc Drive) that would extend selected game's memory.

I also heard that this expansion would improve Ocarina of Time? Is this true? Like improve graphics and animations? It was only released in Japan, and never in America, so can you guys please explain it to me further?

Sorry if I sound like an idiot/noob, I haven't been into Zelda since I was about 8, so it's been awhile and I'm not well educated on the history of Nintendo/Zelda. Thank you.

i think he means wii not that he didnt know the name so what he says checks out heh i follow nintendo and i didnt know about the wii till a year and a half ago

I DO play more Zelda games than just OoT, besides, how is he supposed to just assume I only play OoT, does he live with me? No. Then why would he assume that?

I have Twilight Princess, it's OKAY to me. I didn't like Wind Waker, and I liked Phantom Hourglass, but OoT is my favorite, so I'm replaying the whole game just for the fun of it.

The 64DD was sold in Japan, and it was a commercial failure. That's a reason OOT didn't require that ♥♥♥♥.
