Is this for real?!
I like to watch walkthrough on youtube for games i've already beaten and know just because it's interesting to see how other people play. and i really like watching a pro.
But there are some that are VERY pro. I was watching this walkthrough of Majora's Mask and in the video, the player did some interesting tricks to progress the time in a hurry without the song of double time. In one place, he/she was at the cabin with the smithy in the spring to get the sword upgraded and advanced 24 hours in a certain spot with the goron pound.
In two areas, this same player advanced time with the spin attack. I've tried doing the same thing and looked up every possible glitch in the game and found nothing about these time advances. Is this actually a glitch or did the player just use video editing and a way to make the cut look more interesting. Has anyone heard of this trick? People in the comments have asked the uploader how he/she did that sort of thing, but the person's not sharing it. I thought I'd ask here seeing as there are quite a few experts on all the games.
Oh, I forgot to mention (if this helps) the game was being played through an emulator. I have MM on my computer as an emulation and didn't see anything involving those time advancements in the cheats.
