Re: Best Albums Ever

More picks.

Pinback - Blue Screen Life

One of my all time favorite albums ever. Incredibly beautiful, original and just plain great. Blue Screen Life possesses an intangible quality. There's this mood, when you put on your headphones and turn off the lights, all you have is the music in your head...and it's so unique. I love this album.

By the way, Penelope is about a dying fish. lulz

TV On The Radio - Return To Cookie Mountain

I can't say enough great things about this album. Words are not sufficient. There are no low points in this record. Sure, I Was A Lover, Hours and I Was a Wolf are standout tracks, but I like the whole album. The harmonies, the complex dynamic backdrops...it just comes together quite nicely.

Re: Best Albums Ever

Not what I'd consider the best album, but Indestructible by Disturbed has to be their best one IMO. The theme is much darker, the lyrics were written much more creatively with deeper meaning, and the music is actually much more varying than some of their previous albums (with the exception of Believe). Plus the album cover design is just what metal/hard rock albums should be like.

I'd just like to mention:

Plastic Surgery Disasters, from Dead Kennedys.

I love Jello Biafra.

Ohh, pretty. In general the Dead Kennedys was freaking awesome.

Recovering the Satellites Counting Crows (1996)

Although August and Everything After made them famous, this is the album that made this guys a band. More mature, and more impressionable than their first effort, its frustrating how people often overlook this album.

Re: Best Albums Ever

Yeah, I am. Viva Hate is my favourite Morrissey solo CD, but everything the Smiths put out was amazing. You should definitely get it.

Re: Best Albums Ever

I've heard a few of their songs and I liked them. Of course, seeing as I like Morrissey, it'd make sense that I would like them.

While I don't overlook it, I think Recovering the Satellites isn't nearly as strong as August and Everything After or This Desert Life. Satellites is a good album, but it all sort of blends together because I find a lot of the tracks are same-y.

Good album, but I feel they've gotten better and better with each album they've done, with Brother, Sister being damn near perfect.
