What Makes a Perfect Rock Song?

So I am starting a band, and I have written several songs. Now I just want to know what makes a song perfect?

And what style and feel of s song do you like most for a grunge/metal/alternative band?

It's hard to define what a perfect song is, because it all comes down to personal opinion.

For me a perfect song is where all the instruments you're using; vocals, guitar, bass, drums etc. all stand out and have an important part in the music.

Lyrics-wise, I find it's always good when song's have an actual meaning, it makes them that much more enjoyable to listen to.

And make sure the song doesn't get too repetitive, try to make it interesting from start to finish.

lyrics-has to rhyme, and make sense.

guitar-needs rythem and lead guitar, should have melody with each other

bass-should be able to freaking hear it! Needs to be something interesting, other than the root notes of the chords played by the rythem guitarist.

singing-please no raspy, screamy death metal ****.

that would make a good rock song I think
