I'd have to say Sunday Bloody Sunday is my favorite. It was the song that really got me into them. I'm also very fond of:

New Year's Day
Beautiful Day
Pride [in the name of love]
I still haven't found what I'm looking For
Where the Streets Have no Name

U2 is overplayed and overhyped.

Coldplay is not- they're also a lot softer sounding, and more soothing.

Eh, I'd say they're both played quite frequently. Coldplay is softer in general, but U2 has some very soft songs as well, and I'll take Bono over the lead singer of Coldplay any day...but we're kinda going off topic xD

Well, like the whole point of this thread was asking, what's your favorite U2 song, Saharah?

I like New Year's Day a lot. Mostly because of the amazing bass line and the piano in it. But Sunday Bloody Sunday is still up there for me because of it's energy.

Airplane, you are my new friend. U2 is win. <3 I think it's a three-way tie between City of Blinding Lights, The Unforgettable Fire, and Miss Sarajevo. The latter most, though, is probably the all time favourite.

I take it you don't live in the UK then :/ Coldplay are one of the most overrated bands of the last ten years, especially around the time of X&Y.

Personally I'm not the hugest fan of U2, but I like Beautiful Day, Elevation and Stuck in a Moment.

Also, The Edge is a pretty damn good guitar player.

Honestly, U2 has to be the one of the most over-rated bands ever, but if I had to choose it'd probably be "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking for"
