I find his image and videos and whatnot about ten times more interesting than his boring, boring music. And I don't find his image or videos particularily interesting.

The silly, watery scandal that he spreads is unfortunatly more remarkable than his musical career.

I used to hate him, then I liked him for a while but other then "Astonishing Panorama Of The Endtimes" (which is just a rip off of Ministry's "Burning Inside") he's rather dull to me, now. After you hear "The Beautiful People" X amount of times it just loses it appeal.

I like the collabs that he has done with rappers, e.g. DMX's 'The Omen' and Eminem's 'The Way I Am' (the Danny Lohner remix). Anyone know of any others?

Which also, isnt true, it's one of the "myths" around him. Since he's a shock rocker, its probably all good for him that people are saying things like that.

Ah, so naive. I spent 2005 being the ass of ZU for defending the group, or more or less, its vocalist. First of all, stop this "his" crap. He's hardly the only member, the bad isn't entirely dependant on him.

I love the group. They started out sub-small-time, absoulutley unlistenable garbage. By Portrait (of an American Family) and the influence of Trent Reznor, the individual artists were ascendeding infinitely. By Holywood, the plateau was met and careened into the pits of hell.

And guess who was to blame?

Marilyn Manson is purely polar as a human being. As a person, he's educated, articulate, kind, and funny as hell. But as a musician, ugghhh...he's the proverbial douchebag.

After Holywood, he began to alienate what covered up his damn near lack of talent (he never could "sing", he just had a cool voice---which he trashed): case inpoint, the rest of the band.

Twiggy left: We got The Golden Age of Grotesque, aproximately 75% suck.

John 5 got the boot, Pogo left: We got that piece of **** from 07' (I will, however, defend PHiH for the solo and Evidence and the title track for some exquiste vocals/lyrics/musicianship as far as Eat Me, Drink Me goes).

Marilyn Manson made it's mark on music, and was a wildly great band for the select few. But even I succumb to the ****tiness of its montony.

(BUT HEY, TWIGGY's BACK)

IF we can get over the hurdle of no Daisy/John 5 and Manson's aging vocals and medicorce lyrics, they'll finally be something noteworthy once more.

BTW: What's wrong with the older vids? Sick? Try on some Cannibal Corspe and cry yourself to sleep. OR just watch some newer Manson ones and simply...sleep.

PPS: None of those gay rumors are true, get over yourself--he probably started them himself for shock value.

I definitely agree there. I've seen interviews and as a person, I actually sort of like him. Pity his music bores me to tears XD

He never got his ribs removed, he supposedly thought about it, but it would of cost too much (if he actually went through with it it'd probably be for the publicity).

Marylin Manson is a normal guy, he markets his stuff this way because that waht draws his fanbase thus he makes lots of money off of it. That makes him smart. It is just an image he has. My dad actually met him when he was getting started, (he ran a sound company) he said he was just a normal guy.

Now if he had flamboyant appeal like Bowie had, he would actually be awesome. His music on the other hand is decent at best.

yeah i really don't dig his music. the songs that i DID dig are old and played out now. I do think he's VERY intelligent and i admire his wisdom. he's a smart one, and he knows it. it's like a quiet, self-satisfaction knowing that all these f**cktards can run around going "OMG he's a satan worshiper!" while the whole time, they're just being short sighted, narrow minded lemmings like humanity has and always will be. (not that i feel that way, but that's just what i imagine him thinking)
