Also, I've seen several people saying that a band being overrated makes them bad. How does that work?

For me, I can't stand them because they get so much undo praise. There are so many other, better bands to listen to, and these people...whenever I talk about music with my friends, it always turns to Red Hot Chili Peppers. I'm just really sick of hearing of them.

I would have to say Ministry, I never could stand them. Like Ugh! And of course Rap/hip-hop

Anyway. System of a Down is my least favorite band. Their attempts at ultra deep melodic **** just sounds to me like attempts to cover up the same old ****ty metal. Seriously, I was alone in a room with a guy once and forced to listen to the entirety of Toxicity AND Mesmerize. I almost vomited.

EDIT: Also, I have yet to see Avril Lavigne's name spelled right in this thread.

Uh, dude... if you hate the comments, why are you posting here? Why not avoid petty flamming and just go with the flow?

But to explain the quotes, Slipknot has no talent whatsoever. Only one song is appealing to me, but that's it. The only reason it's one song is because the rest are just... do I really need to explain?

Never heard of ICP, but I can tell by the name they're either a punk band or a heavy/death metal type band. Either one is horrible.

Disturbed? Meh, I kinda like them. Their music isn't that bad, but a few songs are a bit of the same thing as the other (at least they're the only band mentioned in this thread with some different variety in their music).

And System of a Down. That's all I have to say about that one.

Let me just stress this out. Three Inches of Blood. If they're gonna be a true power metal band, at least get a good singer. The guy sounds like a freakin' chimpmunk for crying out loud.

And to re-emphasize a point that has been made over and over, Slipknot really does suck, and Disturbed isn't that bad.

The music itself is debatable since I don't know much about how to tell the difference between different bands' styles of playing in that genre. The vocals, on the other hand, are literally a joke. Think Dragonforce but the guitar's in some guy's throat. You have to hear it to know what I mean.

Really? I'm a huge Green Day fan and I never got that at all. I mean, I hate the All American Rejects just as much as the next guy, but come on, they sound nothing alike.

One of these days, you will turn 15 and you will find that there is more to music, than sub-par bands. (though I'll listen to ICP once in a while for the stupid humor value, nothing else)
