The Who are amazing :]
Tommy is an amazing rock opera.
I don't listen to them all that often, but when I do I love 'em, and I have a LOT of respect for them.

I also like how they all used to smash their instruments on stage...except for John Entwhistle. He'd quietly walk off stage clutching his bass like a newborn.

The Who have come up with some of my favorite songs. Notably: I Can See for Miles, Won't Get Fooled Again, Behind Blue Eyes, You Better You Bet, and of course Who Are You.

It's called Baba O'Riley, not Teenage Wasteland.

^Took to the fifth post, I just lost a bet...to myself!

I like The Who quite a bit. Another one of my favourite of the British Invasion bands. I like how they progressed in their music (as well as their image quite a bit as well) as time wore on, I like to be able to hear a band mature as I listen to them.

Favourite song has to be "I Can See for Miles" though. I really dig the harmonies and the repeating chorus.

Oh yeah those harmonies are heavenly! I remember hearing that song as a child and being completely entranced by it

and yes, it's Baba O'Reilly
i was about to clarify that until I saw someone already beat me to it

The Who are a fantastic band.

Keith Moon has got to be one of the best drummers of all time, the beat in Won't Get fooled Again especially is epic.

Unfortunately they were never quite the same again after he died.

yeah sometimes in that song (especially in fills) it sounds like he's about to get off beat and go chaos, but he always brings it back around in time!
I marvel at it evey time

So true. Not even the son of Ringo Starr could compete with Moon.

I think John Bonham could destory both of them in a drum-off. He is amazing none, the less.

Pete Townshend is my hero. "Pinball Wizard" and "Won't Get Fooled Again" are my favorites.

Other then maybe The Rolling Stones, they're probably my favorite band from the era. Their music made after Moon OD'd is barely worth mentioning, though.
