Basically, it's a tour that, like the title says, will have many "progressive" metal and rock bands. To be precise, Dream Theater, Opeth, Between The Buried And Me, and Three.

Anyway, I'm planning on hitting the Atlanta show on May 28th to see Opeth and Between The Buried And Me. I would say Dream Theater as well, but I honestly prefer their older stuff (Images and Words, Awake, etc.) over their newer stuff. And chances are, they will just be playing stuff from their new album (Oh God, please don't play Forsaken! <_< ). Though another reason to go is so I can break James LaBrie's neck with my knees. That way, maybe they can find a competent singer. Also, Three is pretty great as well. I haven't given them much of a listen to, but from what I've heard, they're above average.

So, anyone else hitting this show besides me? What bands are you coming to see specifically? And will you help me try to relieve LaBrie of his living privileges?

I'm at the LA show May 2. The only band I'm not excited to see is Opeth.

3 was absolutely phenomenal! Holy ****, they were amazing! The drummer was especially hilarious to watch, as well as amazing. Between The Buried And Me was good, but they seemed a bit muddied at points. Opeth was excellent. I was headbanging during most of it to ensure I'll need a neck brace tomorrow. I was also the one with the lighter during the mellow segments. Dream Theater was phenomenal. They're probably my least favorite band out of the 4, but their live performance was one of the best I've ever seen--period. However, I had to **** really bad during most of the set, so I was dead during the middle of it. However, I came alive during the end of it. I got a Watershed Opeth shirt, as well as a Progressive Nation 2008 tour shirt.

I really wanted to meet Mikael and the other members from Opeth. However, I couldn't find them anywhere. T_T Though I did see them outside the Tabernacle around 3, as well as Fredrik. Unfortunately, I was too late to snap a shot (I was in a moving vehicle). Oh, and Mike was hilarious. But I'm sure you already knew that.

Anyway, I took some pics, but they all turned out ****ty. I might post the decent ones later.

I'll try to write more about it later. But I need sleep badly... <_<

Your BTBAM setlist looks good. This show was great, but I couldn't sit through 3. The seemed really generic and boring. I gave Opeth plenty of chances, but can't get into them so I left during their set. I was so pleased with DT's setlist.
